The Threshing Barn at East Trenean Farm

Tucked away on the south coast of Cornwall within an area of outstanding natural beauty, just 3 miles from the nearest beaches and town. Quiet and tranquil and a haven for wildlife. Beautiful, recently converted barn with many original features complimented with all the quality modern furnishings and equipment needed for a very comfortable holiday. Very clean and modern internally.

Beautiful ex threshing barn with a lovely high vaulted living space, original stone walls and beams. Cosy and spacious with bags of character and charm.
The accommodation is arranged over two levels.
Enter from your private lawned front garden to the upper level. Here you will find the vaulted sitting room, dining area, kitchen, utility room and separate toilet.

Interaction with guests
Brenda and Ian live in the farmhouse on-site. We like to hand over the keys on arrival, show you in to your barn and answer any questions which you might have during your stay. We are always happy to suggest places to visit, where to eat and generally help if required. Being on site, we can deal with any problems that might arise (like a blown light bulb or a faulty kettle) promptly. We are also reasonably experienced at jumpstarting cars with a flat battery and inflating the occasional flat tyre !

Beautifully presented barn conversion. Appreciated the attention to detail from comfortable beds to lovely linens. Good location and plenty of parking for our 3 vehicles. Great goodie basket left for us which was enjoyed by our group.

What a lovely place to stay. Friendly hosts supplied a welcome basket with home made goodies, which was a great start. The Barn was warm and very comfortable, in fact we didn't need to use the upper level. A really wonderful place to share with...More

Getting around
A car is essential to get the most from Cornwall, but there is a good local bus service and plentiful cabs for when you don't want to drive.
Some of the best walks can be enjoyed by walking one way and taking a local bus back to the starting point.
We always recommend the walk from Looe to Polperro along the coastal path (lunch in one of the excellent pubs) and the local bus back to Looe.

How to get there
Airport: Exeter: 101.0 km
Railway: Looe: 5.0 km
Ferry: Plymouth: 30.0 km
Follow the A38 to Plymouth, cross the River Tamar by bridge and enter CORNWALL. Follow the A38 turning left at the Terulefoot roundabout shortly after passing through TIDEFORD.
Follow the signs for LOOE on the A374.
About a mile later turn RIGHT on to the A387, signposted to LOOE.
Continue through Hessenford.
Another couple of miles and you will see a sign post for our local farm shop on the left and then a sign for a right turn (A387) toward WIDEGATES. Do Not turn off but follow the road (now the B3253) as it bends left toward LOOE (and East Trenean Farm).
The entrance to East Trenean Farm is then the third entrance/driveway on the left - half a mile further on. Drive down the lane and call at the Farmhouse for the keys.
