Situated on the upper level of Wharfside Village, a smart development of villa style housing, shops and restaurants the house enjoys a truly central location ideal for exploring the town on foot and discovering the many activities the far South West has to offer. Leave your car at home and travel on the overnight sleeper train for London Paddington. We do have secure parking available if you would prefer to bring your wheels.

Having booked our accommodation back in Australia through Tripadvisor we were very pleased to find on our arrival, the property to be exactly as advertised. It was very close to the Penzance rail station and we were able to walk with luggage easily to the Overstrand. We were surprised with a lovely welcome pack of wine, flowers and biscuits. The...

Everything was perfect. Top of range accommodation. We had been travelling through the UK for 10 weeks. All accommodation was very good but this topped it off.

Over Strand offers every home comfort for your holiday. The décor has been chosen to give a restful and calm ambiance to a retreat in the centre of the hustle and bustle of Penzance.
At the front of the property is a walled courtyard equipped with a gas barbeque, outdoor table, chairs and parasol for sunny meals. The infrared heater means that these facilities can continue to be enjoyed all year round. About the neighbourhood
Penzance is a busy market town and boasts a variety of great bars, restaurants and cafe's. Located within easy reach are the city of Truro and the sailing capital, Falmouth. If it's surfing or sunbathing you're after, or perhaps a romantic walk along a deserted beach, then you can are spoilt for choice with some of the area's best beaches on your doorstep, such as Sennen, Praa Sands and Porthcurno. The Eden Project is also only a 45 minute drive away.

The famous St Michael's Mount (described as the jewel in Cornwall's crown) and Lanhydrock House are located close by or you may chose to take a day trip to the Isles of Scilly on 'The Scillonian'. The terminal and ticket office is just a short stroll from the holiday homes.

If travelling by car:
1.Take the A30 and follow all signs to Penzance
2.As you come in to Penzance and reach the final roundabout by a Tesco store and petrol station take the first exit onto Eastern Green
3.Continue to the railway station along Chyandour Cliff
4.At the station follow the one-way system to the left, stay in the left hand lane
5.Continue into Wharf Road
6.Wharfside Village is on the right hand side opposite the large car park

National buses and trains run to Penzance Station, a very short walk from Wharfside Village. Newquay International Airport is a forty-five minute drive away and cars can easily be rented from the airport or Penzance station.
