Super location ! 2 mins to either beach, no long uphill walks at the end of the day :)
Fast Wifi, great reviews. Double glazed throughout.
Master bedroom. Ensuite. Super king size bed. Towels provided. 2016 Smart TV.

Brand new kitchen, very well equipped with dishwasher,big retro fridge, microwave etc.
Private courtyard, great for sitting out in the evening with a drink.
Lounge very bright and airy
Cornish cream tea. Jam on the cream. There may well be one there waiting for you.
2 of the latest Smart TVs with Netflix(100s of free films and TV), BBC iPlayer, You tube etc etc
Lots of nooks and crannies :)
Renovated 1800's fishermans cottage
Friendly seal in the harbour. Nothing is guaranteed, but you are almost bound to see him.

' Flip flops ' cottage, in the CENTER OF ST IVES, at 1 Love Lane is an 1800s Fully Renovated (2016) pilchard fisherman's cottage. Fast Wifi. One minute to the right of the cottage is Fore Street (loads of shops, restaurants etc) and the Harbour beach.Two / three minutes to the left is Porthmeor beach, St Ives main beach and the Tate. It has a king size double (en-suite) and a twin (2 full size singles) plus a decent double sofa bed. On my last day in this lovely cottage. Which has been done to a fantastic standard. Perfect location in the heart of stunning st Ives. Our 2nd visit to this cottage first time before the refurbishment which was lovely but now it's unrecognizable. Such a difference just perfect. I will definitely recommend to friend's. I will be back.

Saturday changeover. We can do breaks that start or end on a Saturday, min 3 nights, breaks that start say on a Monday for 3 nights are much harder to do. 10% Dep for advance bookings ( over 4 months away), 25% for bookings starting sooner. No commission to pay Holidaylettings or Tripadvisor :) . We have been letting our cottages for over 5 years and are reliable as our reviews show.

About the neighbourhood
Downalong is a warren of windy cobbled streets in the (in my opinion) best bit of St Ives.The cottages were mainly fisherman's houses and retain much character. Love lane, Rose Lane, Fish Street ,Teetotal street and even Virgin Street are all nearby street names. <BR><BR>Downalong is mid way between the 3 main beaches and close to the shops,pubs and restaurants.<BR><BR>No arduous walk up the hill after your day in the town or on the beach back to your accommodation if you stay in Downalong !
Getting around
St Ives is a destination in itself and many people stay in the town and area, but if you want to visit other areas in Cornwall there is fairly good train coverage, not too bad a bus service and also the option of organised trips by coach to the bigger attractions.

Ferry: Penzance: 8.0 km
St Ives is easily accessible via the road network and by train. The train from London Paddington is a great way to travel, the train runs along by the sea for much of the last part of the journey from Exeter and if booked in advance is very reasonably priced.
