Cobblers Cottage is set right in the heart of old St Mawes, up a narrow lane literally a stone's throw from St Mawes Harbour. Superbly presented by the owners, the cottage offers very comfortable accommodation for up to three adults or a small family of four. You could not be in a more central location in St Mawes and the cottage is only some 50 yards to the Quay from which ferries leave for Falmouth, Truro and Place. It is a small old traditional village cottage, full of character, but nevertheless, quite compact in places.
The cottage benefits from a very private patio garden which is a lovely peaceful place to relax with a book. Please note that the cottage is right in the heart of the village, which is really convenient, but it does mean that occasionally it can be busy and at times noisy from nearby activities and village events. The lane is also well used by pedestrians and the village butchers shop and the residents' entrance to the St Mawes Hotel is immediately opposite the cottage.
Accommodation
Ground Floor: The entrance is through the private patio area and the ground floor comprises an open plan lounge and kitchen area. The kitchen is fully fitted with a range of equipment, including a Nespresso machine and is finished with a granite worktop. The lounge has a comfortable sofa, easy chair and there is a small dining table.
First Floor: There is a double bedroom with 5' bed, Simba Hybrid pro mattress and a second bedroom with a single 'Captains Bed' that has a pull out bed beneath which is suitable for children - available upon request ONLY. The bathroom is presented with limestone tiling and has the benefit of a powerful shower over the bath. Exterior: A private enclosed patio area.
Facilities & Services
The kitchen has a range of equipment. There is an oven, small hob, a microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. The lounge area has a SMART TV & DVD player. There is Superfast broadband at the property. There is an iron & ironing board.
Miscellaneous
Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. Regrettably there is no parking at Cobblers although there are public car parks nearby. Up to two well behaved small dogs (spaniels or smaller please) will be permitted at a small additional cost of £30 per dog / per week although please remember that you cannot leave dogs unattended in the cottage alone. No smoking. There is a cot & high chair available on request. Stairgate at the bottom of stairs.
