Never have we felt so at home so quickly. This is a wonderful property in a wonderful place [Tintagel] and both gave us some quality rest & recuperation. This is a place that demands another visit. Thank you again Nik & Linda.

My husband and I booked Guinevere for a 5 night Christmas break and had the most wonderful stay. Nik was very informative and prompt in dealing with our booking prior to arrival and supplied us with all the details we needed for our stay. Even directions! Guinevere itself was extremely well equipped and provided everything we needed. Even a turkey...

What an amazing find! We were very impressed with the high standard of accommodation that Guinevere had to offer. The cottage is right in the heart of Tintagel but it's Mews location also makes it peaceful and secluded. There is great attention to detail from the owners Nik and Linda who left us a lovely welcome card upon our arrival....

About the neighbourhood
Just a few minutes walk from Guinevere lies one of Britain's most famous attractions, Tintagel Castle. Sited on a rocky promontory the atmospheric ruins easily conjure up images of the Uther Pendragon, Igraine and Arthur. The whole area is steeped in Arthurian legend and there are many sites to visit.

Within walking distance or a short drive away are the beautiful beaches of Bossiney Haven and Trebarwith. The former is sheltered and the turquoise waters here are ideal for bathers; the latter receives the full force of the Atlantic, is fantastic for surfing and bodyboarding and has a superbly located pub on the cliffs overlooking the beach. Internationally famous surfing beaches lie to the north around the attractive Victorian resort of Bude and to the south at Polzeath.

How to get there
Airport: Plymouth: 72.0 km
Railway: Bodmin: 30.0 km
Ferry: Plymouth: 72.0 km
The great majority of visitors arriving to stay in Tintagel arrive via Launceston (A30). Take the A395 turn off at Launceston, signposted for Camelford & Wadebridge and follow this until you hit the A39 Atlantic Highway. Turn right here and shortly after left onto a minor road signposted for Tintagel.

Be careful on this road as there are farms and tractors in this area. Go straight across at a crossroads after 5 minutes or so and a bit further on you will see Tintagel below you. Keep on this road until you hit a T-junction in Bossiney where you turn left straight into Tintagel.

Follow the road around a bend, up a slight rise past a few shops and you will come to a mini-roundabout. Kay's Mews is a few yards after this roundabout (going straight on) opposite the pink-signed Granny...
