Bovisand Lodge Holiday Park is a small award winning family run holiday Park on the South Devon Coast nr Plymouth.
We are nestled in a wooded valley and back onto a safe sandy public beach with stunning views across to Cornwall. The South West Coast Path runs along the bottom of our Park allowing you to explore the stunning scenery. When you fancy a change from the beach, take a dip in our indoor heated pool and sauna.
We are a peaceful Park with an emphasis on nature and tranquillity, so do not have a club house/bar shop or restaurant on-site. These are a short drive or a longer walk away! Generations of guests have enjoyed and appreciate the quality surroundings which has made their stay memorable and special.

The public beach is around two minutes walk from the holiday park it is very safe for bathing and at low tide there is a large expanse of sand with rock pools to keep children & adults (!) happy for hours searching for crabs and shrimps.
Explore the Area, our tips on what to see & do;
We are a quiet holiday destination yet only seven miles from Plymouth City Centre.
Take the water taxi to Plymouth’s historic Barbican, where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for America. We love wandering along the cobbles, browsing in the antiques shops and independent restaurants and obligatory fish and chip shops.
Continue on to the Hoe, if you are feeling energetic climb to the top of the iconic lighthouse – Smeatons Tower and be rewarded with 360 views, or take a dip on the 1930’s sea water lido. Beatles fans can sit where John and all sat to have their picture taken whilst making their Magical Mystery Tour film.
Play Golf at Staddon Heights – a stunning cliff top course with views over Cornwall to Dartmoor
The South West coast path runs along the bottom of our holiday Park – explore Devon’s dramatic coast line in both directions – you can even stop for a pub lunch along the way!
Explore Royal William Yard and take the Cremyll ferry (foot passenger) to Mount Edgcombe, explore the grounds and walk to the fishing villages of Kingsand and Cawsand
There are many National Trust properties are nearby – Saltram, Antony, Cotehele
Go on a snorkel safari or rock pool ramble at Wembury Beach – a national marine conservation area
Visit The Box, Pymouth;s new new museum, art gallery and cultural centre, where you can see a life sized woolly mammoth!

Book a Mon to Fri break and get 4 nights for the price of 3.
When you book 2 weeks you will receive £100 reduction on the total price. (Outside of the school holidays).
Under occupancy reduction (for up to 2 people in a caravan) -£25 off a 3 or 4 night stay, £50 off for a 7 nights stay and £100 off a 2 week stay

The numbers of occupants in each accommodation, as stated on our website and in the property description on holiday lettings, must not be exceeded.
Only the persons stated on the booking form will be permitted to occupy the unit.
Bovisand Lodge is only five minutes drive from the Mount Batten Centre - 2 miles away, where you can arrange almost any water sport including sailing and diving. From here it only takes 4 minutes by water taxi to the cobbled streets of the historic Barbican in Plymouth where Sir Francis Drake famously played bowls before defeating the Spanish Armada. Boat trips around the Sound and up the River Tamar to the Naval Dockyards can also be arranged, or climb the Lighthouse!
Within 1 mile is Staddon Heights golf club with panoramic views of Plymouth Sound, open to non-residents. The nearest riding stables are at Wembury, 5 miles away and there are beautiful trails along the coastal path and the tors of rugged Dartmoor for leisurely walks.
Getting around
It's necessary to have a car.
In the height of the season a bus runs from the top of the valley into Plymouth city centre.
Plymouth train station is approx 7 miles.
Plymouth ferry port is approx 7 miles.
