Wind Chimes is a gorgeous little cottage converted in style from an original hayloft, next to the owners home. This quirky, cosy, upmarket cottage, is small in size but big in character. It has a smart kitchen living dining area and shower room. The amazingly romantic bedroom, has a low sloping roof, in keeping with it's age. Set on a mezzanine floor, the bedroom comes complete with quality linens. Set in pretty communal gardens which are shared with the owners, the cottage is within walking distance of beaches, coastal paths, the harbour, restaurants, pubs, wine bars, tourist attractions and shops. It's a great place for honeymoons, a sightseeing holiday, a walking break, writing retreat, or simply a week by the sea. 'Wind Chimes is a fantastic place to come back to after a day out' is a comment made by many visitors. The shower room has complimentary towels and dressing gowns. The kitchen area has a combination microwave oven, two - ring electric hob, kettle, toaster and fridge. The cosy lounge with two-seater leather Chesterfield sofa, has a TV, digital radio and IPod DOC, range of films on DVD, books and chess set. Free WIFI. For garden lovers there are views over the pretty communal gardens, with the sound of birds, and owls on occasion giving a countryside feel, even though the harbour, beach and sea are only a stroll away. Plenty of free parking on the public road next to the cottage. Here's a flavour of what guests say: 'Thank You so much for the brilliant stay at Windchimes. Charming and cosy little cottage, wish we could have stayed for longer! Torquay is an ideal holiday spot with endless places to visit, but it wouldn't have been the same without retiring back to Windchimes afterwards. Lovely hosts and treats. Couldn't have asked for more.' Please note our policies: no babies, children or pets. No smoking. No other visitors permitted to the property or garden. Thank You xMore

Interaction with guests
We live right next door. We are avid gardeners so you'll probably see us pottering about in it. We are usually happy to chat, and give you info on places to see, and things to do. It's important to say that the garden is communal - you share it with us Gite style. Europeans, Americans and other overseas guests tend to love our place because of this. Windchimes has very thick almost sound proof walls. It's perfect for those who want a quirky self catering place to come back to after site seeing / studying / placement etc. If you hate the idea of having your hosts close by, then we are probably not for you. If on the other hand you like the fact that we are usually on hand, the Windchimes could well be for you. Happy Holidays xx

A lovely cottage in a delightful location. Quiet, garden views and a short walk into the village or the town itself. A lovely couple who have made a hayloft into a little haven. However: beware steep stairs! Will be sure to return. Thanks Jacquie.
