Grace Dieu

Overview
Holiday Rental House -
4 Bedrooms , 2 Bathrooms , Sleeps 8
Rye, East Sussex, England
The house is a two-storey house clad in Siberian larch. It is situated in the small hamlet of Pett Level and is one of only twenty houses on the beach; all the houses are different styles and sizes.

The house has been comfortably furnished as a home for the owners. It is an upside down house - there is a large living room upstairs – which includes kitchen and dining room with a terrace overlooking the sea. It easily sleeps eight people; it has two double rooms, two twin-bedded rooms and one bathroom and one shower room. It is centrally heated.
The house is situated in the most fantastic position – stunning sea views in one direction, the end of the South Downs the other – over which you get some amazing sunsets. The garden leads straight onto the beach.

Fantastic location, fanastic house where we spent a brilliant weekend! We would definitely come back, with friends or another family. The house is perfectly laid out and having the sea on the door steps was just the best thing ever! We were sad to leave...

About the neighbourhood
Rye is very picturesque with quaint streets, shops and galleries

Just beyond Rye is Camber with a very long sandy beach

Further on is Dungeness with Derek Jarman’s house and garden, small fishermen’s houses, and a beautiful spare landscape. The pub called the Pilot does fish and chips.

Winchelsea is picturesque with an interesting church.

Battle - the Battle of Hastings field where you can rent audiotapes of knights’ experiences of the battle – sounds crass but told it’s an experience

Great Dixter – Christopher Lloyd’s garden (leaflets in folder) is about half an hour away. Known for its summer garden. Good nursery.

Dymchurch Railway.

Hastings – junk shops, art galleries, museums – worth looking at. The harbour has a working fishing fleet. There’s a funicular railway that goes...
