The Officers House is free standing 4 bedroom Georgian house in a quiet square with its own drive fitting 2 cars. Completely renovated a few years ago to its former glory. The house is located in Rye Harbour a real fishing village on the edge of a Nature Reserve from were you can access the beach (sandy low tide shingle high tide) from a tarmac track just a 10 minute walk or short ride on micro scooter or bicycle, no car access trough the reserve so very safe and friendly for children and dogs. There is a village shop with all the essentials a few steps away in the village, 2 pubs a tea/gallery and Fresh catch daily from the Boat slip a few steps away!' Gorgeous house, lovely proportions and well equipped. Bedding was top notch and the heating and hot water systems work like a dream. Wardrobe space is poor though with only a double wardrobe in the one double bedroom and a single wardrobe in the master. Both...More

Rye Harbour is a very quiet and friendly fishing village with a mix of local families, fishermen and artists of all ages a real fishing village on the edge of the most beautiful Nature reserve housing rare birds and coastal plants with the beach at the end of the path, sandy at low tide and shingle at high tide. Rye Harbour is only 2 hours maximum from London, its the perfect Escape for Foodies, romantic, family, special occasion, away from it all.............

'The famous Route 1066' So much to explore! Do bring your walking shoes, bikes and kids scooters ( available to rent locally) Starting from the Coast to the Old Medieval Town of Rye, The Old Hasting with St Leonard on Sea, Battle Castle, Camber Sands and Eery Dungeness.
