I booked this accommodation for a trip to Cheltenham races some 5 months before the scheduled stay. The owner cancelled this 3 days before the trip and being a races weekend there wasn't a great deal of accommodation left and what there was was very expensive. I ended up paying a lot more for my accommodation but the owner did...

Management response:

This review is not an accurate representation of events. Although the booking was cancelled, the guest was refunded in full, given extra compensation for the late cancellation and offered a further discount off a future booking. It was very regrettable that we had to cancel, but it was because of circumstances beyond our control.

The accommodation is ideally suited for a visit to Cheltenham with very close proximity to Montpelier and the main shopping area. We located it fairly easily and it was a very useful to have designated parking. Having stayed at many B&Bs in our time we have the following comments: we couldn't find an info folder - we located the WiFi...

Imperial Court is right on the doorstep of the town centre, being a short stroll from the principal street of Cheltenham - The Promenade - with its fine regency terraces, stylish shops, Neptune Fountain and the annual Christmas Market. The town offers good shopping, great restaurants, cultural activities, fantastic nightlife and three theatres: the Everyman, the Playhouse and the Bacon.

Similarly nearby are the Imperial Gardens, the Town Hall and Montpellier Gardens. These locations form the central hub for the annual Cheltenham Festivals of Jazz, Science, Music, Food & Drink and Literature.

Cheltenham Racecourse is a short bus or taxi ride away and is considered a world-class venue, hosting regular fixtures throughout the year.
Getting around
