The old stocks on the green and the Market Cross in the square are reminders of medieval times. Buildings which date back as far as the 10th century are now home to many fine Inns and gastro pubs, some award winning and serving fine local produce. Closeby tourist attractions and events , Warwick Castle, Blenheim Palace, Sudeley Castle, the Cheltenham races (March & Nov), the International air tattoo at Fairford (July) and Longborough festival opera (June-July). The picturesque villages of Broadway, Chipping Campden, Bourton on the Water, Burford, Moreton-in-Marsh and The Slaughters are all close-by. The towns of Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon are both within an easy drive.
