Stow-on-the-Wold, Cotswolds, England
Honeysuckle Cottage is a true classic Cotswolds Cottage, set in quite literally breathtaking countryside, yet only 3 miles from Stow on the Wold - a cottage which has plenty to be excited about! The property is semi-detached and presented in an attractive, fresh style and yet with a cosy, homely feel.
Downstairs is an open plan space with open fire and large sofas plus a well equipped kitchen, while upstairs there are two good sized bedrooms both with views across the Cotswolds' countryside.

With Stow on the Wold no more than a few minutes up the road you have an excellent selection of pubs, cafes and antique shops and art galleries close by (for the grown ups!) while for the children, Adam Henson's (of BBC Countryfile) Cotswolds' Farm Park is only a few minutes away - there's plenty to keep everyone happy! Booking: Booking was a straight forward process and e-mail confirmation was received with term and conditions.

Arrival: We overlooked the fact we had to call a week before arrival so had to contact the main office as no one else was available to provide the key code. Upon arrival the cottage was cold and there was no heating. It took a good few hours to get hold of the property manager.

The Cold: No working central heating throughout our stay but the property manager did go out of his way to provide us with electrical heaters we were advised to keep these on. We kept these on half way around the cottage to stay warm but without additional heat there were some areas of the cottage that were awful. It meant that we had to move electric heaters around wherever we went indoors. An additional bag of logs was provided and subsequent offers for a bag of logs was appreciated. However, when you are touring the Cotswolds it is nice to be able to return to a warm environment...

Honeysuckle Cottage is simply gorgeous...furnished beautifully and kitted out with the very best in appliances and furniture. We really appreciated the White Company bedding and towels. The location in Daylesford is blissfully quiet and utterly picturesque. It's a five minute stroll up to the Daylesford Organic farm shop, where we bought in our supplies for our break. Also here is the Hay Barn Spa, which I can thoroughly recommend, having had three separate treatments. Also well worth booking is a day in the Cookery School, I had a really enjoyable time and found all the team there really welcoming and knowledgeable.
All in all, we could very happily have moved in forever!
