About the neighbourhood
The area boasts many festivals and events to suit all ages and interests. Cheltenham is only half an hour away and boasts several festivals alone, including the famous horse racing Festival in March, as well as a music festival in July and the Times Literature festival in October. The Badminton Horse Trials in May are an easy drive away or perhaps a country show is more of interest? Reflecting the rural nature of the area, there is a country/agricultural show taking place somewhere during each of the summer months. Nearby Gloucester features the Tall Ship festival and the Kingsholm stadium will be hosting 4 matches in the Rugby World Cup tournament in September and October 2015. Local historic houses include Woodchester Mansion, an unfinished Gothic mansion, Berkeley Castle, Owlpen Manor ...
