This house sleeps 4 people in 2 double beds.More

The place is well looked after and has very good essentials. It is quiet and you easily reach all the points of interest in Portsmouth. Supermarkets are nearby. Our host welcomed us very friendly and everything was ready for a pleasant stay.

About the neighbourhood
Portsmouth is a unique island city, surrounded by the Solent and little more than 2 miles across, its waterfront life, whether historical or modern is never far away. Seafaring has shaped our local history and the sea still adds to the life of the city today; sailing, yacht racing - Fastnet and Cowes - diving and water sports attract many visitors every year. Visit the Spinnaker with its stunning panoramic views, the Historic Dockyard steeped in maritime tradition or treat yourself to a shopping spree at Gun Wharf Quays Shopping Village with over 85 designer outlets. Dine al fresco and watch the comings and goings of the busy harbour or just enjoy a leisurely walk along the Esplanade. How to get there
By train the nearest station is Fratton. Arriving by road, at the end of the M@&% take the first exit, then at the next roundabout, take the second exit. At the next roundabout again take the second exit, you should be passing a texaco petrol station and a large Asda. At the lights go straight ahead (right hand lane). At the next roundabout, take the first exit but go into the right hand lane immediately. At the next roundabout- about 150 mtrs away, take the third exit. You are now in Fawcett Rd, Southseas answer to Portabello rd, complete with second hand shops, speed bumps & 20mph speed limit. Fifth turning on the left is Jessie Rd. Turn into Jessie Rd and the fourth turning on your right is Esslemont Rd, your destination. Note the location of the Co-operative store as you turn in as this is your local shop.
