Castle Guest House is situated just below 'Dover Castle' and the famous 'White Cliffs Of Dover'. The house is a Grade II listed building. We are very close to the Town Center, Port of Dover, Channel Tunnel and Cruise terminal. Pet Friendly, family friendly and Walker / Cyclist friendly. For the visitor we offer one of the most convenient positions within a Conservation Area of Dover where they can visit Dover Castle and the many other local heritage sites. Excellent breakfast served from 6.00 a.m. for those with an early start. On street parking only, and on request, we have a lock up garage for motorcycles and bicycles. Please remember to mention this when booking. There is free on street parking available nearby

Whilst we live here and are always available to assist, we do leave you to get on with your holiday and sight seeing. We are quite comfortable with guests accessing their rooms during the day if they are staying for several nights. We like you to treat our house as your home from home.

The owner has been nice and welcoming, but three things wrecked our stay. First, the noise from trucks and cars just outside the windows continued throughout the night and made it really difficult to sleep - even for me, and I'm usually not picky about it. To make matters worse, the bed was old and uncomfortable. Those fancy country-style iron...

Thank you for your review, it was unfortunate that your two year old was disturbed by the traffic that night. As we discussed it was due to road works around the docks. We are unfortunately on a diversion route that is used occasionally and is, of course, outside of our control. We were surprised by the comment regarding the bed...

We stayed there for two nights, after a few nights on the road at other B&Bs. The location is great, just 10 minutes to walk to Dover Castle and around 15 minutes to the harbour. The town of Dover is situated at the south east corner of England and has the distinction of being the nearest town on the British mainland to the coast of France, the strip of sea called the 'The Straits of Dover' the ''Pas de Calais' as the French term being just 21 miles wide.On clear day's the French coast is clearly seen from Dover, Wordsworth's reflection said "And saw, while sea was calm and air was clear the coast of France! the coast of France how near!" Getting around
Getting around is easy, most sites in Dover are walk-able, we also have several bus routes to Folkestone, Ashford, Cantebury, Deal, Sandwich. The trains also go to these towns. It is aprox one hour by train to London St Pancreas station. There are also taxi cabs available.

We are easily found from either the A20 or A2 and can be found at the foot of Dover Castle. We are 15 mins walk through town from Dover Priory Train Station, and less than this from the central bus terminal. There is plenty of free on street parking nearby and there is a central parking area less than a minuet away. Whilst this is charged for during the day, it is free overnight.
