Although this cottage is spacious it still retains a cosy rustic charm with a liberal peppering of original beams and exposed slate walls. To take advantage of the spectacular views over Loughrigg to the Old Man of Coniston, the living room and kitchen areas are upstairs. Off the large entrance hall there is a very spacious double bedroom with en-suite bathroom equipped with a shower over the bath. The stairs lead up to the bright and airy lounge, which features solid pine flooring, a slate fire place and exposed stone walls.

This was our second stay at the cottage. It's a long walk up the hill from Ambleside, but it's worth it. If you arrive at night you will see the most amazing view in the morning. Just my wife and I so there is loads of space for two people, although there was another single bed in the bedroom. Nice...
