We had a lovely week in your wonderful cottage in beautiful countryside location. Enjoyed good night sleep in comfy bed with blackout blinds on windows. Thank you for letting us stay.

Wonderful little cottage, well equipped and maintained. We had a couple of small issues that we fed back to the owner, who was very happy to accept the feedback and act to remedy, would definitely stay again.

The characterful town of Cockermouth is a short drive away and has ample shops, pubs and restaurants. Keswick is a twenty minute drive and the larger town of Carlisle is also within easy travelling distance. Other local villages such a Ireby offer pub meals and can be accessed on foot for those who are enjoy a moderate walk and want to build up an appetite. This is an ideal place for anyone to enjoy the wonderful outdoor facilities of the Lake District ... Bassenthwaite, Ullswater, Keswick and equally there is plenty of indoor entertainment within a short distance including theatre at Keswick, the Lake District Wildlife Park, The Puzzling Place, Blackwell Arts and Crafts House and many other attractions ... Airport: Newcastle Airport and Edinburgh : 117.0 km
From Cockermouth take the A595, pass through Bothel turning right at the crossroads opposite the Greyhound Inn to Torpenhow, follow this road until reaching the village - you will see an old fashioned black and white signpost for Mealsgate/Ireby/ Bothel on your left. 2 Fellside Court, Bramble Hare Cottage is on your right hand side with a large parking area in front of the property, about half way through the village. From the M6 leave at junction 44 and follow the A 689 Carlisle north. Stay on the A689 until the junction with the A595. Take the A595 for 14 miles. Turn left for Torpenhow, follow this road until reaching the village - you will see an old fashioned black and white signpost for Mealsgate/Ireby/Bothel on your left. 2 Fellsid
