The Farmhouse is a characterful, white washed 17th century farmhouse set in a secluded 1.2 acres of woodland with private lake access (shared with two other cottages) leading to the beautiful waters of lake Coniston.

Situated in an enviable spot, the cottage is an ideal place for couples, families or small groups, to come and unwind in the peaceful surroundings and explore the Lakes by foot, bike or boat.

The Farmhouse has been re-furbished to a high standard with a new kitchen, family bathroom with roll top bath, shower room and thermostatically controlled central heating. The detached house directly opposite is quite literally feet away from you and if you sit outside on the bench(there is no front garden) you are looking directly into their...

Management response:

Sorry that you found that there was little private space and you are right to point this out. Although I have stated in the listing that there is a shared beach and shared outside space, I perhaps need to make this clearer. You have private access to the lake -- perfect for the dog in particular. Great furnishings and lovely setting. We especially enjoyed the fireplace every night. The dog loved the walkies out the front door and in general it was a fab location to enjoy the Lake District. Highlight of our trip.
