This cottage benefits from a wonderful location,on the edge of the village of Hawkshead,yet surrounded by fields with lovely countryside views. The village is known for its literary connections and is home to the Beatrix Potter Gallery,and William Wordsworth former-school the historic Grammar School. Leading off from the sitting room is the contemporary kitchen/diner,with its oven,hob,fridge,microwave,washing machine,and dishwasher. There is also a dining table here which seats four and a stable door perfect for the summer months.On the first floor of the property there are two bedrooms. The first of these is a restful double room,with plenty of space for hanging clothes in the built-in wardrobe,whilst the second bedroom is a cosy twin room with a window set offering lovely views across the fields to the village. The bathroom,also located on the first floor,has a bath,separate shower,and WC. There is a drying cupboard on the landing with hanging space for coats. Outside,the property has an unusual woodland garden with slate paths meandering between the trees and two chairs carved from tree stumps,whilst there is also a large patio area with dining table and chairs,from where guests can enjoy the lovely countryside views. Off-road parking is available for two cars. More
