There is an extra single bed in the bedroom suitable for a Carer or you could simply use it as a family bedroom for a young family. The Carriage House is beautifully presented and has been renovated to the highest standards with Oak fittings, Triple glazing and under floor heating. Inside you'll find an Oak Kitchen with Granite Surfaces and Butler sink, Bosch & Neff Appliances (including Induction Hob, Double-oven, Microwave, dishwasher, Washer-Dryer), free Wi-Fi, DAB radio / CD with iPod dock, large Samsung LED TV with Blue Ray DVD player, Satellite TV with HD and International channels. Beautiful curtains, blinds and hangings complement high quality light oak & leather furniture. Windermere and Ambleside are just down the road and our proximity to the M6 and A66 means that Keswick and the Western Lakes are no more than an hour away ... or maybe you'd like to visit Kirkby Lonsdale or Ingleton in the Dales ... less than 30 minutes away. This is a great location for a holiday whatever your ages or interests - you'll never run out of new things to do. How to get there
How to get here By car we are just 3 miles from M6 J37. It's best to fly to Manchester and take the train to Kendal although London Euston railway station is only 2.5 hours away by train so travelling to one of the London airports is also a possibility. We recommend hiring a car in order to make the most of your stay although about 10% of guests do arrive by Taxi. We are 5 or 6 miles from Oxenholme station on the main London-Scotland train line. There is a regular bus service from the end of the drive. Distances We are approximately 6 miles from Kendal where you will find Supermarkets, Shops, Pubs, Restaurants and the 'Kendal Brewery Arts Centre' for films, music & live entertainment.
