I stayed for 3 nights in February but although the weather wasn't the best the apartment was quite the opposite. Just a 1 minute stroll to the center of Windereme with its shops and pubs it couldn't be better placed. The finish in the apartment was perfect and myself, my wife and our baby felt right at home. Easy to book, Jane the owner seemed very accommodating with the little contact we had with her. Generally clean and comfortable bed in the double didn't use the large twin bedded spare room. Bring all your own bath towels, hand towels, flannels, t-towels, bath mats etc Kitchen small, cosy and a little like a ship/submarine gantry but modern and perfect...

Had a lovely time at Caxton House, everything you need in the apartment and also right next to the Train Station , Restaurant and bars If visiting the area again would defiantly book this apartment

A booking/key deposit of £75 is required to secure a booking which is fully refundable on return of keys.
Balance payable 8 weeks before arrival.
Preffered change over day is Saturday but this is flexible.
The apartment is available from 3pm on the day of your arrival and must be vacated by 10am on your departure date.
Short Breaks are available at certain times. Please enquire for availability.

There are too many attractions nearby to be listed here. Windermere, England's largest lake, is just 10 minutes' walk away. Ullswater, Brotherswater, Rydal Water, Grasmere and Thirlmere are within half an hour's drive.<BR><BR>There is also sailing, fishing and horse riding available close to the apartment.<BR><BR>There is an excellent local supermarket, Booths plus Co-op and a Tesco Metro. A short drive away is Grizedale forrest (Go Ape)<BR><BR>The well known Lake District visitor centre at Brockhole is just a 5 minute car drive away, as is Fell Foot park with lake cruises across to Lakeside available. Leave M6 at junction 36 and take the A590/A591 signs to Windermere (approx 15 miles).Caxton House is located on the A591 just after the Nat West and pedestrian crossing.1hr Parking outside but private parking located at the rear of the property.(details will be sent on booking)<BR><BR><BR>Nearest Travel Links<BR>Airport: Blackpool: 60 km<BR>Railway: Windermere: 0km<BR>Ferry: Heysham: 40 km<BR><BR>M6 motorway, then A591 all the way to Windermere, only 20 minutes off the M6.<BR><BR>Trains change at Oxenholme ( near Kendal ) then get branch line to Windermere, 2 minutes walk from the station.
