Just a short stroll from the shore of Lake Windermere, Footprints Lodge is in a woodland setting but also ideally placed to take advantage of the facilities on offer at White Cross Bay Holiday Park and Marina. (There is a charge of £15 per family/party, per stay to use the indoor Swimming Pool and Gym)

This well-equipped comfortable lodge is decorated to a high standard and offers accommodation to up to six guests and comes with use of its own private outdoor hot tub.

This lodge was ideal for a family holiday,everything we needed was catered for,the location is ideal for visits to many Lakeland attractions,including the motor museum,the haverthwaite and lakeside railway,the boat trips on Windermere and coniston to mentions few.Would highly recommend to other holidaymakers!

Just returned from another fab, family visit to Footprints Lodge. As usual everything was amazing. We love the fact it's a home from home you only need clothes, towels and food. Excellent base to visit Brockhole, Wray Castle and of course Windermere. The hot tub...More

Getting around
White Cross Bay just two miles from Windermere and 2 miles from Ambleside. Set in south lakeland, it's the perfect place to explore the wider Lake District. Grassmere, Hawkshead, Coniston and many other picturesque and famous Lake District locations are easily accessible.

How to get there
Directions from the North & South: Leave the M6 at junction 36, then at roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A590 (signposted Kendal, Barrow). Continue forward onto the A591 (signposted Windermere). At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A591 (signposted Windermere). Continue forward on the A591 through Stavely and Ings before entering Windermere. At mini-roundabout continue forward (signposted Ambleside). Follow A591 for a couple of miles and White Cross Bay is on the left. If you have a SAT NAV use the following postcode – LA23 1LF.
