Overview
Holiday Rental House -
2 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England
24 Burton Road will appeal to people interested in visiting this historic city, whether to see the magnificent cathedral, to explore its history , to attend a graduation ceremony or a concert, or to shop for antiques, clothes or presents.

The house is cottage in style and although the sitting room is snug with 4 people in, the middle room and kitchen have been opened out to give it a light airy feel, making it a very pleasant place to sit around the table. Two bedrooms share a good sized bathroom with shower and bath. Centrally heated. High chair and travel cot available.

The large kitchen opening onto a sunny patio is inviting for families and offers the opportunity to save on restaurant and hotel bills, though with the many bistros and restaurants close by, visitors are sure to be tempted.

Lincoln has been a well kept secret for many...

Interaction with guests
Guest see themselves in by means of a key box and code. This invariably works like clockwork and gives our guests real flexibility. In the rare cases when people need help. A simple call to my mobile is all it takes and we talk them through it. We live many miles away but my sister is a few miles away so she acts as local contact. I respond to calls, texts and emails and have found over the years that this works very well.

This house is fabulously located: an easy walk from Lincoln's Cathedral Quarter, from historic buildings, pubs, restaurants and independent shops. A handy supermarket is nearby on Burton Road. We'd no need for a car around Lincoln: we used the secure off-road parking and explored the...More

About the neighbourhood
With Ellis Windmill, the Museum of Lincolnshire Life, the cathedral and castle, Steep Hill all on your doorstep, 24 Burton Road offers an effortless way to discover this lovely city. The city is flanked by two commons and West Common is conveniently close for those who like to jog or walk. Nearby riding stables also make use of this area and there are riverside pubs and restaurants nearby which are popular with people who have walked, cycled, ridden or arrived by boat. Highlight of the year is the Christmas market in December but the calendar is well packed with festivals, farmersmarkets (again within walking distance), large scale events on the Showground such as the June Lincolnshire Show which showcases all the county has to offer, steam fairs, concerts and graduation ceremonies.
