This holiday rental is a lovely, late Georgian,early Victorian townhouse in a conservation area of Liverpool that has been sympathetically renovated and has many original features. It is very spacious, tastefully decorated and homely. There is a large sitting room, with TV that seats 9 people,a second sitting room /playroom in the cosy basement with original fireplace.There are plenty of toys and books for younger guests and a TV and DVD player with DVDs. The kitchen is bright and well equipped and leads out to the utility room. There are two fridges, freezer and dishwasher. The dining room has a large dining table that can extend to seat 12, has French doors leading out to a court yard where there is a large table for outside dining. We have just had a girlie weekend to Liverpool, we stayed at Sandown House, what a beautiful place to stay. It is so homely and welcoming, and everything catered for. Tracy was there to welcome and answer ang questions. Would highly recommend.

Excellent. House was lovely and warm when we arrived so very welcoming. Plenty of space for everyone. Easy access to city centre on buses. Coffee tea milk and biscuits on arrival much appreciated.

About the neighbourhood
Sandown House is in Sandown Lane which is within the Wavertree Village conservation area. There are lots of different types of houses in the area and it has a wealth of history. The holiday home dates from around 1840 and has many original features. There is a lovely local pub nearby which serves real ale, there is a Greek restaurant around the corner and walk a little further you will find Penny Lane and Allerton Road which has many restaurants to choose from. There is a large park close by and a 'swing park' for children and a sports centre and swimming pool a short walk away.
Getting around
Transport is easily accessed, a short walk takes you to the bus stop or train station. Taxis are easily available with a private hire cab around £4-5 to the city centre.
