Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Absolutely Excellent
I booked this beautiful house for a week stay for my friends from the USA who were over here attending a Women’s Conference. Bethan & Cass were ever so lovely and supportive with our requests too. As for the house it was spacious, comfortable and they said it felt like a home away from home. So myself and the ladies send a BIG thank you...🌹🌹🌹

Lovely spacious house with beautiful garden
We needed a big house for family and friends ( from Spain and Australia) to attend our daughters wedding at the Tudor Barn, and this house was ideal. Just 10 minutes walk to the wedding. Lots of space in the house, with 5 bedrooms, mostly en suite. The kitchen is well equipped, and the garden great for a barbecue. Cass and Bethan live next door, and were very welcoming and helpful with any problems. Off road parking at the front

Wedding week
Our daughter was getting married in Downham and reception was at the Tudor Barn in Eltham. The house was perfect location and ideal for a bride and 6 bridesmaids to get ready. Lovely house, great location and plenty of space for all. Easy to get into London to collect grand Parents coming by train from Devon.

Very nice accommodation- very helpful and pleasant owner.
Good accommodation with large garden in a nice area of London. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. We attended a wedding at Eltham Palace and this was ideal for that.

Perfect venue for wedding party in London SE
Spacious house perfect for our wedding party - Great location for the wedding venue which was in The Asylum in Peckham. Very clean and tidy house, well maintained. The owners were very friendly. The parking on the drive was ideal as we needed it for 3-4 cars.

Perfect house for our festive time away
Brilliant location for travelling into Central London! A group of us stayed here so we could visit Hype Park Winter Wonderland. Took under and your to travel in (and that included being accompanied by under 5s). Lovely quiet location and the house was perfect for our requirements. We will definitely be looking at booking to stay here again!

Lovely property & friendly hosts
My wife and I, plus our adult daughter stayed here for a few nights on a B&B basis. We were well looked after by Cass & Bethan who were very helpful and friendly. The house is a real gem, well maintained, with a lovely terrace and garden. Off road parking for three cars, as well as some on street, free, parking just down the road from the property. Great location in Eltham, walking distance to shops, restaurants, pubs and train station for easy trips into central London. Would highly recommend this property.

About the neighbourhood
Beechhill House was built in 1903 on farmland in Kent owned by Cameron Corbett a Scottish temperance advocate. Thus there are no pubs until the High Street. As an M.P. he ensured that the new railway went through his estates and so Eltham Station is a short 10 minute walk. The very quiet tree lined street has well kept gardens and small drives. All the houses are double fronted and Beechhill House is at the end of a terrace of four. It has many original features including cast iron fireplaces, sanded wooden floors, dado and picture rails, cornices and coving but it has also been fully modernised. It has a large walled garden.

Within half a mile there is: The Tudor Barn with Italian Gardens and moat where Edith Nesbitt wrote the Railway Children. Eltham Palace,a hunting palace for Henry V111. It has a Great Hall, Art Decor house, moat and is managed by English Heritage. Avery Hill Park and Winter Gardens. Greenwich University at Avery Hill. Eltham Park South and Oxleas Woods(an ancient oak wood) designated as an area of Special Scientific Interest. Charlton Athletic F.C. have their Football Academy in Sparrows Lane. Royal Blackheath Golf Club (the oldest in England) is a 10 minute walk away as is the Warren Golf Course.
Bob Hope was born in Eltham and there are local productions in the Bob Hope Theatre.

How to get there
Stansted Airport is 40 miles, Gatwick and Heathrow are 35 miles although the latter is 60 miles if you use the M25 to avoid Central London. All major airlines fly into Gatwick and Heathrow as well as budget airlines such as Easyjet. Budget airline Ryanair serves Stansted. City airport is now expanding and starting to take more flights and with the Docklands railway being extended to Woolwich it is now easy to get to in about 30mins. The A2 and A20 roads go through Eltham which serve Dover and the Channel Ports offering ferry travel from Calais, France as well as other Ports. Eltham is also only a 15min drive from the M25 meaning that it is easily accessible to other parts of Greater London as well as having great links to Kent.Trains go from Eltham to the Central London Stations of London Bridge, Charing Cross and Victoria. They take 20 and 25 minutes. Other railway stations are easily accessible from Central London via the Underground tube line, taking you to the likes of King Cross, Euston and Paddington which offer train services all over England. Beechhill House is 15 minutes by taxi to Ebbsfleet International for the Eurostar train to Europe.
