This former 18th Century Coach House and Art Gallery has been sympathetically restored to provide all the modern amenities need for an enjoyable holiday. Only a short walk from the centre of the picturesque fishing port of Whitby, this beautiful house has been carefully restored and designed to be family friendly. Sleeping 1-4 people it has its own good sized patio for entertaining and there is ample on street parking. Taldomas is the perfect place to come and unwind. Downstairs has a very spacious open plan livingroom with a sofa, chairs, tv with freeview, cd player, dvd player and reading area. The kitchen/ diner is well equipped with many appliances such as fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave and washing machine. Lovely place to stop for our family of 4, lots of space and the location was fantastic, would recommend to all who are interested in this property

The good stuff:
This property is more spacious than it looks from the outside. Easily big enough for a family plus pets. The kitchen diner is really big, and the washer is an asset for longer stays. The small stone-walled yard at the rear is attractive, and would be a real bonus in warmer months., especially for visitors with children or dogs. The property was very clean and tidy, and is a bit quirky in its interior layout, with some character features. It's also nice to be able to catch a glimpse of the Abbey in the distance from the upstairs windows, which makes up for the lack of a view from the mainly frosted windows downstairs. It's not right in the centre of town, but it is definitely within walking distance, although it's all uphill on the way back and seems twice as far! :) For the size of the accommodation, it is pretty decent value. Yes, it might feel a little basic, but you could pay more than double for a smaller 'luxury' property down near the harbour...
