Chestnut Farm is located on the banks of the river Ouse within the village of Acaster Malbis only three miles from York. With peaceful country walks all around and the village inn only a short stroll away you can be sure to enjoy a restful break. Or explore the ancient city of York with its museums historic streets and boutique shops, not to mention the huge range of fantastic restaurants. <BR><BR>The cottage not only retain the original character of the farm but also offer accommodation of distinction and style. The cottages have oak beams, oak floors in living room, slate floors in kitchen/dining room and brick inglenook fireplaces. The owners are always on hand to answer any questions and offer you advice on a great day out.

This is the 2nd visit to this wonderful place and the fantastic Cottages. Both visits have been with friends. The Cottages are lovely - homely, comfortable, with everything you need. Highly recommend these cottages to stay as a base to explore York and surrounds. The hosts were exceptional and Allison and her husband were so friendly and welcoming.. I will definately return the next time i visit the area..

We stayed for 4 nights while visiting our daughter, who lives in York city centre, perfect location for us, just a 10 min drive to the city, but out in the country side, lovely cottage, great location, and great host,
