Alternatively, if you wish to self-cater there is a fully integrated large dining/kitchen equipped to a very high standard plus a well stocked convenience food store around the corner in Bootham and interesting specialist delicatessens a little further away in Gillygate. A night out at the Theatre Royal in St. Leonard's Place is only minutes away, but if you prefer a cosy night in, the living room is equipped with a 42” flat screen TV, Blue-ray DVD player as well as a few books and board games. There are 4 bedrooms, sleeping up to 7 people, comprising a master room with double bed and en-suite bathroom, two bedrooms each with double bed and a study/bedroom with a single bed. York is a world renowned historic city, dating from 71 AD, known best for its medieval city walls, narrow streets and ancient alleyways, picturesque architecture and of course the iconic York Minster. Take time to to enjoy the street entertainers, a drink down by the river or soak up the vibrant atmosphere whilst 'people watching' at one of the city cafes - including the famous Betty's Tea Rooms. By Road - Leave the M1/A1(M) motorway network at Junction 45 of A1(M) onto the A64 signposted York. Head east, and leave the A64 onto the A1036 signposted York (North and West).
