Location: ideal - on foot Minster 2 minutes, Railway Museum and Jorvik 10 minutes. Couldn't be a better location for diving into the throng of tourists and then escaping to the calm. Parking: 5-10 minutes walk from flat Beds comfortable. Clean and tidy. All mod cons. Responsive owners. Would come back again if the circumstances arose.

Stayed at apartment for 2 nights, excellent central location for all attractions. A real home from home with every convenience catered for. Apartment spotless and spacious perfect for our needs of central location in the heart of York. I would definitely stay here again, recommend highly and would fail to see how anyone would not be impressed. Hosts were excellent...

We offer a SLIDING-SCALE TARIFF that brings an ever-increasing discount the more nights you book - thus the nightly cost of a 7-night stay is approximately half that of a 2-night stay.
The nature of the HolidayLettings software is such that we can enable sliding-scale quotations only by uploading our prices as a 'flat fee' applicable to all bookings (£180) combined with a nominal per-night price. Once the capital of the entire Roman empire; home to waves of Anglo-Saxons, Vikings and Normans; the location of the largest Gothic cathedral north of the Alps; site of one of the decisive battles of the English Civil War: it would be difficult to imagine a city more steeped in history.

York is particularly well served by rail, being a major stop on the East Coast main line between London and Scotland, and is also easily accessible (along a fast dual-carriageway link road) from the M1/A1M north-south motorway route. The most convenient major airport is Manchester, with frequent direct trains from the airport to York station throughout the day and most of the night.
