A spiral staircase leads to a mezzanine double bedroom with TV/DVD and up to the first floor double bedroom with TV/DVD, dressing room and en-suite bathroom.
The second floor houses a further double bedroom with 5ft four-poster bed, TV/DVD and en-suite bathroom with luxurious copper roll top bath and toilet. Both the first and second floor bedrooms offer amazing dual-aspect river views.
Climb a little higher and you’ll reach the large roof terrace* which offers incredible views of the city’s many highlights: the stunning York Minster, historical Lendal and King’s Bridges, the River Ouse, and the bustling 21st-century city that flourishes in the shadow of its ancient walls.
Return to Lendal Tower and guests have the privilege of relaxing in the tranquil setting of their own private riverside garden with a secluded patio area.

What can we say but WOW! This place is great. It met all of our requirements and expectations, plus it allowed us the opportunity to stay in a historic building. Easy walking distance to everything in York, and convenient for trips out to Yorkshire if you have a vehicle. Plus very close to the railway station. I would fully recommend this location to anyone.

Medieval Britain with a luxurious twist
After having a holiday to Venice cancelled by the airline just 12 hours before we were due to fly, we booked a last minute stay at Lendal Tower, hoping that this very special venue would make up for our disappointment at losing our Venice trip. And wow! Lendal Tower is absolutely wonderful. A luxurious step back in time. Just an incredible building. This accommodation has everything you could need. It was immaculately clean and cosy warm. Who'd have thought a medieval tower would have underfloor heating! Steeped in history and perfectly located for exploring the wonderful city of York. It was not Venice, but do you know what.....I think it was better. York is a truly brilliant place and Lendal Tower was the icing on the cake.

Really special place to stay
Absolutely stunning property in a fantastic location. It's just as good as it looks from the pictures - beautifully furnished and decorated. You get a real sense of the history of the place combined with all the modern comforts you could need. The kitchen is really well provisioned and you will want for nothing during your stay. The fact that it's got parking in the middle of York is great. We especially loved sitting out in the garden for lunch or dinner or drinks. It's an easy walk to everywhere you need to go in the city centre. We had a lovely stay here and would happily return, I definitely recommend it for a special holiday.

Home From Home
We stayed for 3 nights and would have loved to have been able to extend our stay to a week or more.
Lendal Tower is a true home from home. All home comforts and mod cons available to help make your stay comfortable and relaxing. Every nook and cranny (of which there are many) was spotless.
Communication with Nathan before the stay, on day of arrival and departure was really helpful.
I can’t really list all the things we enjoyed. It just felt like a home the minute we arrived. The ability to park 2 cars was great as parking can be difficult in York.
The tower is ideally placed for all the tourist attractions and local restaurants and bars.
We are already planning our return trip. The 5* hotel nearby was previously our preferred place to stay when visiting York but in future Lendal Tower could just be our 5* York holiday favourite.

Amazing place!
We were met by the host Nathan on arrival who showed us around. It's a fabulous place in the city centre. Tastefully decorated to retain the character of the tower. It's a great place to stay and the rooftop terrace is a brilliant place to socialise

Fabulous from the start
Stayed for 3 nights with 4 friends in Jan/Feb 2020. Despite being a very old building, the Tower was cosy, warm and comfortable. We were greeted and shown around the tower by a lovely man who explained the accommodation well. The Tower was fantastic but you have to appreciate the character of the building; yes the floorboards creak and there are a few draughts but we were never cold and it all added to our stay. We had a breakfast hamper too and this was amazing. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked and the bedrooms were very comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Perfect York location
We stayed for 16 days Oct/Nov 2019. The description and pictures online are exactly as portrayed. On Guy Fawkes night we watched all the fireworks and on Remembrance Sunday we had the perfect view both from the top of the tower. The kitchen was so well stocked, plenty of cooking utensils. For first time visitors to York, as we were, the location was perfect.
Mike was responsive, helpful and friendly throughout the entire stay.
We will definitely be back and highly recommend the tower!

Fabulous
Have always admired this building from a far and was curious as to the internal accommodation so when I found it could be hired, just had to do it.
Stayed here with family and friends for 3 nights, all I can say is Fabulous. The building is amazing, has everything you could want during your stay. Internally has all mod cons, ample room to move around and the top floor bedroom is vast. Beautifully restored, tasteful decor and soft furnishings. The rooftop terrace is fantastic to watch the world go by but you must be mobile as no means of accessing other than the ladder.
All bedrooms have everything you need, was comfortable and ample space with excellent storage.
Lovely private garden. Secure parking. On the doorstep of shops, bars, restaurants and points of interest.
Would recommend this accommodation as a luxury weekend or weeks break.

Excellent Again!
Our second stay and once again really special. The 2 main bedrooms are exceptional though the 3rd bedroom requires a fair walk if you need the toilet!
The location is outstanding with pretty much everything on the doorstep.
I couldn’t live in the tower as my only home but there’s nowhere better as a holiday destination.
