The Old Bake House is the ideal place to escape and enjoy living in an historic building which was once the village Bake House.As a grade II listed Cotswold stone building it retains its original features with the entrance opening into a hall which was once the site of the oven. It is situated in the heart of the village close to the shops, pub and public transport <BR><BR>The views from the cottage are over rolling hills and countryside with excellent walks including the Oxfordshire Way, which runs alongside the boundary of the property, and a lovely walk through beech woods and over a stream to the nearby Roman Villa. Apart from being a lovely area to visit Stonesfield is well placed for public transport with a regular bus service passing through the village and a railway station just two miles away in Charlbury. <BR><BR>Dining out - Stonesfield has its own Pub just up the road from the cottage. Woodstock has a variety of restaurants and Cafe's as well as Take Away's. In addition there are many local pubs to visit in the surrounding villages.<BR><BR>Walks - if you enjoy walking there are numerous delightful walks, all of which can be done from the cottage without the need to drive anywhere. The Oxfordshire Way runs alongside the cottage and is a well known walkers treasure.
