Our stay at Simon's Cottage was just what we needed. (3 couples). Clean and will appointed. Much attention to details. The kitchen had everything we needed. If you are unfamiliar with the area I would recommend arriving in the daylight. Our host, Joanna was very...More

Delightfully warm and stylish little house on the edge of one of the most beautiful and dramatic areas of natural beauty on Earth. Excellent service from our host and an easy little break for my little family. Highly recommended.

Interaction with guests
One well behaved small dog is very welcome. Please let me know if you will be bringing your furry friend. We prefer for dogs to sleep in Bedroom 3 on the lower ground floor where there is direct access to the garden. We provide one dog bed with bowls, treats and bags and a large fleecy throw for the sofa in Bedroom 3. Please keep dogs off the cream sofa in the lounge and off the white bed linen in all bedrooms. £15 fee per stay for dogs. The cottage is checked thoroughly to ensure all amenities are in perfect working order. We would ask all guests to contact us immediately if they find something in the cottage that isn't working correctly so we can remedy this asap. Please be aware that the stairs are steep.

About the neighbourhood
Totley village is on the edge of the Peak District (2 minute drive away). There are plenty of local walks and trails in and around the countryside for dog walkers, mountain bikers and hikers. Local amenities are within walking distance along with excellent public transport in and out of the city of Sheffield. If you like theatre then you're in luck - Sheffield boasts many venues including the Crucible, The Lyceum, The Montgomery theatre and many others. For die-hard mountain bikers/cyclists just jump on your bike and head for the hills and you'll be spoilt for choice as far as terrain goes but mind the stags and highland cattle as you go! If you enjoy eating out there is plenty of choice with cafes, pubs and restaurants right on the doorstep! If you haven't eaten by the time you arrive ...
Getting around
Great local bus services to and from Chatworth. Trains from Dore/Totley Station
