The Old Stables is a stone built cottage created from a stable block dating from the 1840’s . A three bedroom cottage (two king and one twin-bed)with a fully equipped kitchen opening onto a dining room. There is a separate living room with TV/DVD and two large leather couches .The living room opens onto the courtyard with large glass bi-fold doors. The Old Stables can accommodate 6 people. It is located in the beautiful Georgian village of Freshford which lies at the junction of the Frome and Avon valleys in the southern Cotswolds. Just 5 miles from Bath and 2 miles from the historic town of Bradford on Avon. Freshford has a very good pub (The Inn at Freshford)serving great food and local beer and ciders a few minutes walk from the cottage. .There is also a well stocked village community shop and café.

Our twin grandaughters (18 months) were ecstatic when we arrived at the cottage as there was a lot of space on the ground floor for them to run about in and explore. Highchairs and a travel cot were provided on request, which have been brilliant....More

we stayed at the old stables so we could attend a wedding in bath there were six of us in out group and there was plenty of room for all. lovely cottage clean and comfortable and a nice welcome pack on our arrival, within walking...More

Exactly as described, lovely village location, worth taking the train into Bath as goes right to the centre and driving in always a challenge. Didn't manage to get to the pub as we ate in both nights catching up. Lovely touch providing breakfast, all essentials...More

Freshford is a beautiful village at the southernmost tip of the Cotswold hills, about five miles southeast of Roman Bath and three miles west of Bradford-on-Avon. The excellent local pub and restaurant sits by a 16th century bridge, and Freshford also has a tiny railway station with hourly
trains to Bath, which is a ten-minute journey, as well as numerous other destinations. There is a local village community shop and café.
The village sits above the convergence of the Frome and Avon rivers and is largely characterised by gracious stone buildings surrounded by fields and woodland.
