Glastonbury Rose is an AA four star rated 'home from home', and we are pleased to say recently won a Tripadvisor award of excellence 2014. Close to shops and cafes, it is a perfect location, adjacent to the High Street, for any event, a nice meal out, a quick drink of coffee, or a stroll up the High St. just to see what's going on. It's equally a lovely place to return back to after a long day walking in nature, or attending a course. Perhaps have a quiet meal in, or a candlelit bubble bath. To make your first day of arrival that bit easier, we provide breakfast provisions at no extra cost. It is tastefully decorated to a high standard with no expense spared on beds and linens. Free unlimited Wi-Fi.

Glastonbury Abbey is 2 minutes walk away, and it's only a fifteen minute walk to Chalice Well, and the Tor. If you don't feel like walking, the Tor Bus stop is also two minutes walk away which will drop you off at the major points of interest. We are also located next to the Goddess Temple. Oh! There is a fantastic view of the Tor from the double room! Free parking two minutes walk away.

An absolutely perfect cottage, in the Heart Chakra of the World.
I can't say enough wonderful things about Glastonbury Rose Cottage, and the wonderful people who own it, John and Meredith of Divine Light Centre. First off, this place is CHARMING AF, decorated in lush Victorian/vintage style in rosy hues of pink, red, and white...like stepping into a Pre Raphaelite painting. Second - I am normally a terrible sleeper (my insomnia gets even worse when I'm away from home), and I slept GREAT here. The bed was comfy, the noise from the nearby pubs really did completely stop by 11pm at the latest (several nights it was quiet from dinnertime on), and I even had a view of the Tor from my bedroom! I used the kitchen every morning to make my own breakfast and it had everything I needed. The location is fantastic - a stone's throw from High Street shopping, Goddess Hall, the Abbey, and everything. If you have the opportunity to book this place...DO IT! Oh, and it's also wonderful to note that the owners also offer car transfer/taxi service from nearby train stations and airports, and also run tours to other nearby sacred sites (Cornwall, Stonehenge, etc.), if that's something you want to do. I had such lovely conversations with both John and Meredith (the owners) that I wished I could hang out with them for a drink, lol.

Cosy spiritual home away from home
Thank you for this wonderful cottage. In the centre of mystical Glastonbury, yet away from the buzz. So cosy and welcoming with lots of inspirational details for a spiritually uplifting stay. John and Meredith are also great guides for tours to the mystical sites of the area. Will surely come back!

Hope to return with my better half in 2019
Glastonbury Rose was an excellent place to be near main sites like the Abbey and the Tor, for example. The space was clean, inviting and cozy. I wanted to take bathtub with me. The owners provide tour and transportation services too. This was wonderful for me since I traveled alone and chose not to rent a car. The week was engaging, enlightening and relaxed. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the owners of the cottage even if you don’t stay with their establishments. They know all of the details that are essential to making a trip successful in terms of site seeing, timing and prices. Well spent money and time there. I hope to return soon.

Home away from Home
it was part of my tour is why i was given this cottage.
at 1st ias far as i was concerned it was just a place to stroe my bags and sleep and did not see the place as anything more than that
i was really surpised as to how much this place becaem a part of my journey
fully and very well equipped, it was just like home
more than enough cutlery plates pots etc and more than enougth food for bfreakfast and condiments for cooking, way more than what you get in a 5star hotel
it was simply put A HOME with so many little touches put in by Meredith
Cards, Books , DVDs to give time to reflect and ponder
lots of evreything,,,,blankets, pillows, huge bath, cosy hall and rooms,
very well heated.....did not feel cold at all even though it was below zero outside
never had to to call them even once during my stay
everyhing was where it was supposed to be and well labelled and easy to use guides
a very magical place to stay !!

Glastonbury Rose
What an incredibly warm welcome from Meredith, she could not have been lovelier. The house was perfect and is literally a stones through from the High Street and only a 10 minutes walk away from the Tor. The accommodation has everything you could possible want or need and was warm, cosy and comfortable. It was perfect for our stay. Thank you

A Rose by any other Name :-)
My partner and I visited Glastonbury to enjoy a short anniversary break. It was lovely to enjoy a location we had heard so much about, although I actually think what made the weekend even more special was staying at the lovely Glastonbury Rose.
This fully equiped cottage, that provides anything you could need and a bit extra, felt like a little home away from home. We particulalry enjoyed spending some time in the enclosed and private seating area out back.
The cottage is situated so close to Glastonbury High Street, and by association all the prize elements of the location itself, that you can truly park up, unpack your bags and enjoy exploring on foot.
Meredith was extremely accommodating and thoughtful, but not only that, a genuinely lovely person who you'd enjoy meeting just for the sake of it. Much like Glastonbury itself (were it a person... :-) ).
We would wholeheartedly recommend the Glastonbury Rose as a place to stay, and although it might be a little 'twee' I just say I hope you decide to book...when we're not trying to stay again. ;-)

A Real Gem!
We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage! The owners made us feel right at home from the very beginning. Clean, comfortable, and with special little unexpected treasures in every room to nurture body/mind/spirit. Walking distance from the town's sacred sites. And the tour we had was amazing! We would stay here again in a heartbeat

Wonderful Weekend Home
This cottage is an absolute treat! We were lucky to get a last min booking and we were delighted from the moment we stepped through the door.
John met us with a very warm welcome, gave us the guided tour and made sure we were settled. When he left us we started to explore and discovered the true magic of this wonderful home. As well as all of the basic supplies we could need (I'll not list them because discovering them is part of the fun!) there are many additional wonders, an extensive book shelf, a great CD collection, sumptuously comfortable beds and other thoughtful additions too numerous to mention.
I would recommend Glastonbury Rose to anyone... See for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

There are ALWAYS things going on in Glastonbury! For every interest! But mostly, Glastonbury is a place of pilgrimage and transformation. There is always a talk to attend, a festival or symposium of some sort, a show, or an event. Places of local interest are the Chalice Well Peace Gardens, the Tor, Glastonbury Abbey, Rural Life Museum, and the remains of the Holy Thorn Tree on Wearyal Hill! There are numerous cafes to sit outside and watch the world go bye. It's a place to just BE! The cafes and restaurants are only two minutes walk away. No need for a car.
March: Majma dance festival. (Middle Eastern Dance)
June: Church of England Pilgrimage
Glastonbury Festival of performing arts
July: Roman Catholic Pilgrimage
Crop Circle Symposium
Goddess Conference
Children's World Festival
August: Musical Extravaganza
September: Tor Fun Fair
November: Guy Falkes Carnival
December: Frost Fair
