What a beautiful house! Had everything we needed, even board games for the children, bubble baths, hairdryer etc and had lovely cake, biscuits, tea and fresh flowers on arrival. The house was spotlessly clean,modern,bright and airy. A quiet and beautiful location, just a short drive to lovely wells, a really nice cafe down the road called the cheese yard and...

Stayed at kingdom Cottage as pretty central for The Guy Fawkes Carnival Circuit, would recommend whole heartedly owners very thoughtful, Cake and flowers and milk in the fridge for our arrival, grandson took over the small sitting room hence forth known as Harley's Room, hoping to return for longer stay for the 2017 Circuit.. About the neighbourhood
A walk to the end of the village will reward the visitor with a view of Biddlecombe, a wooded valley with a meandering stream that flows down to feed the pools in the Bishops Palace. There are plenty of other walks to enjoy here too: take the path that leads across the fields to Wells or follow the stream and find the Buddle House which was once used for lead mining.
The city of Wells is two miles away, with its magnificent Cathedral and the delightful moated Bishops Palace and gardens. The city has a market on Wednesday and Saturday and a choice of pubs and restaurants for wining and dining.
