Two good sized bedrooms. Sitting room and large dinning room and table and chairs outside. Good quality dishwasher, washing machine and drier. Lovely welcome pack. Comfortable and cosy without lots of stuff about. Furniture not too good that worried about damage but solid enough. Only downside, bathroom downstairs. Bakery doing croissants two minutes away along with all the shops. Favourite...

Great house, superb location with parking. Well equipped with a really nice "feel" to it. Everything you need within 5 minutes walk. Beach two minutes away. Certainly intend to return soon. Please note that if you have limited mobility the bathroom/toilet is downstairs only. Otherwise pretty much perfect! Many thanks indeed.

The Aldeburgh area

Aldeburgh is famous for its Music and Arts Festival founded by Benjamin Britten and is held in June every year at Snape Maltings Concert Hall. The Aldeburgh Carnival and Regatta is held every year in August. On the beach is the 'Scallop Sculpture' by the artist Maggie Hambling.

Located on the River Alde, the town is notable for its Blue Flag shingle beach and fisherman's huts where freshly caught fish is sold daily. Visitors to Aldeburgh can enjoy picturesque walks along the beach, an excellent range of restaurants and cafes and of course the award winning fish and chip shops. Aldeburgh also has its own Cinema and Theatre and a golf course and The Aldeburgh Yacht Club.

From the A12 (either North or South), exit onto the B1123and follow the road all the way to Aldeburgh Town. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit, and head inti the Town Centre. Just past the parish church of St Peter and St Paul, turn right at the T junction and follow the road into the High Street. Continue along the High Street and at the bakery turn right into Chopping's Hill. Take the first left into Hartington Road. The cottage is located on Champion Road, a private road accessed from Hartington Road.
