We have a full Covid 19 cleaning policy in place to protect us as well as yourselves when staying. A copy of this is in the property and can be emailed to you ahead of your stay. We use Xmist bombs to Sanitise the whole house. Shakespeare's birthplace is just 4 minutes’ walk away. This Victoria terrace Cottage has retained many or its original features including wooden panel doors and sash windows but is light, modern and spacious. Our house is equipped with Coffee, tea, sugar and milk as well as Hotel style toiletries and fresh towels. The house has two bedrooms, one with a King size bed and the second two singles. There is a brand new Luxury Hotel style bathroom installed in Feb 2020 which comprises a contemporary freestanding bath, separate shower, wall hung basin and heated towel radiator. The Kitchen is modern with dishwasher, toaster, microwave, kettle, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, washing machine and a separate tumble drier. The large lounge has a three seat sofa, and two chairs plus FREE WiFi and Netflix TV and the dining room seats 6 people. There is also a Utility room with Fridge, and a door leading into a pretty Courtyard garden perfect for catching the evening sun with a covered area or those cyclists who want to store their bikes whilst away. The garden also has two recliners for relaxing on a summers day or enjoying a morning coffee. Inside the house there is large file in the lounge which is jam packed full of useful information, including pamphlets, Bus timetables and most of the telephone/websites for the local Restaurants in town as weel as a lamintaed selection of some of our favourites. A travel cot, high chair and children's bed guard are available on request (though we do not supply cot bedding) Hair drier, Steam Iron & Ironing board Use of on street Parking permit for your stay for one vehicle on Mansell street (display clearly on dash board) Charcoal BBQ and garden table & six chairs plus two recliners. Cooler box & picnic blanket Umbrella, torches & shopping bags Champagne bucket for the "chilled stuff" An extra single J'bed with sprung bed base is available for an extra charge for those in a party of five (this would always be put up in the dining room. We will consider one “small well behaved dog” this si cocker spaniel size to clarify and no puppies (charges may apply). We do not allow dogs on carpeted areas for obviously reasons. Please message us to check if we will accept your breed/size of dog. Please note there is a Gas fire in the lounge which has been disconnected so please do NOT make any attempt to ignite it. There are red glowing lights that can be plugged in to give a red glow. Guest access Guest will have full access to the whole house and Court yard Garden. The only things locked are one half of the huge wardrobe and a blanket box in the dining room where we keep bed linen and cleaning products. Rubbish & Recycling There are both blue (recycling) and black (general waste bins at the front of the property and these are collected very early on Friday mornings "you will find a schedule" in the house file. The bin men are not the quietest!!!!!! Christmas The house is simply decorated with Christmas decorations and from mid December to get you in the Christmas spirit....... The house is a strictly a smoke free house and we would expect our Guests to respect this and other signs in the house. We would expect our guests to be considerate of the other neighbours either side regarding noise levels after 10.00pm. (we will consider one small well behaved dog but charges will apply) There is free parking for one vehicle on Mansel Street ( we require your registration at time of booking so we can register your vehicke) Keys must be put back in the lock box.

Excellent property in perfect, central location
We really enjoyed our stay at Arden Lettings! The property is very comfortable, warm and nicely decorated with all essentials available. Great restaurants and cosy pubs a few minutes walk away. The property is in a great location to explore this lovely town or also the surrounding areas into the Cotswolds. Claire was most helpful from the start with recommondations about theater shows, restaurants etc. looking forward to returning in the future!

A more than perfect house in a perfect location, only a few minutes walk to the centre of Stratford upon Avon. Clean and comfortable and with everything you need at hand. Would highly recommend to family and friends and will definitely return another time.

perfect location warm and inviting
Stayed in Claires place in April, weather was raining and cold but cottage was warm and cosy.Claire place is well stocked with all you need and close to train and shops no car needed.Had a lovely time.

Lovely house in an excellent location
We really enjoyed staying at this property for four weeks. The location was excellent with a five minute walk to Shakespeare’s birth place and the centre of Stratford Upon Avon. The house is well decorated with all the essentials one would need.

Brilliant holiday cottage
Wonderful cottage matched with friendly helpful owner. Perfect for theatre and restaurants. Well equipped kitchen and lovely garden. Very luxurious bathroom. Been twice now and will be returning many times. Highly recommend this property.

Lovely cottage, great location
Claire's cottage is in a great location for exploring Stratford upon Avon. It's a short walk to the RSC, town centre, Shakespeare's birthplace. It's also a good base for exploring the surrounding area. Warwick castle, Kenilworth castle and other attractions are not far away. The cottage itself is well decorated, well maintained, comfortable, clean, has all the amenities you'd expect and more besides. We stayed over Christmas with our two young children and had a wonderful time. The owner is also very attentive and can be contacted easily if you need her. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Superb cottage in an excellent location.
We stayed in Claire's lovely cottage when attending the RSC theatre after Xmas. The location is perfect, a short walk from the main town, sights and theatre. The cottage is beautifully decorated, fully equipped and with fast, reliable WiFi and Sky TV. Claire was very helpful both during the booking process, always replying promptly, and while we were there. Stratford is a unique place to visit, particularly for Shakepeare lovers, with lots to see and do and a wide variety of places to eat. I have no hesitation in recommending Claire's cottage to anyone visiting the area.

Fabulous
We booked this property to visit the Victorian Market.It is a fabulous cottage proberly the best equipped cottage we have stayed in.Very cosy but for us the location was excellent as one of our party has walking problems minutes from town centre.Aboslutly perfect for a stay in Stratford upon Avon.Parking permit comes with the property we parked and didn't move the car again.Lovely little touches Christmas tree,milk and biscuits on arrival.Would defiantly recommend this property you won't be disappointed.

About the neighbourhood
We are located in the centre of Town so from the moment you leave the property there is plenty to do and see. Go back in time as you visit the Shakespearean houses to see where the Bard was born, grew up and went to School. Be mesmerised by the black and whiteTudor buildings throughout the town centre or simply stroll along the river banks of the Avon. There is always the opportunity to hire a boat or take a river cruise and explore the waters around Stratford. The canal also provides great waterside walks and an opportunity to hire narrow boats and try your skill with the locks a real tourist attraction. You instead may choose to simply relax on an Open Top bus and hear all about the various attractions or chill out and people watch in the numerous cafes and restaurants. Enjoy the delights of Stratford market which was awarded the best private market in 2014 and attracts many visitors either in town on a Thursday or riverside on weekends with the Christmas markets opening later into the evening. The Theatres, as well as plays also offer tours behind the scenes and costume workshops throughout the year. For those with more energy we have plenty of cycle routes with a traffic free 5 mile route known as the Greenway taking you to long Marston with two cafe's en route for refreshments and where you can also hire bikes. Stratford also has a number of golf courses too: Menzies Welcome, Stratford Oaks, Welford and Stratford's most prestigious Club on the Tiddington road. The Butterfly Farm is a real hit with children (and adults too!) as is the Mechanical Art and Design Museum. There is a large park next to the river which has fabulous play areas for children and Tennis Courts and if the weather turns there is also the newly renovated Leisure Centre with a wide variety of sports on offer and Olympic size swimming pool. All of this is within walking distance of your front door The Stratford Armouries (about four miles outside the Centre) is also well worth a visit and has a lovely large indoor soft play area which is sure to be a hit with the younger children. For National Trust or Historic Houses You may choose to explore the beautiful Cotswold villages and senic countryside; be enthralled by a day trip to Warwick Castle; relish the beauty and historic content of Blenheim Palace; browse round the historic market towns of Evesham and Alcester; brave 'All Things Wild' - an exciting animal reserve with exotic creatures to see at close hand. For National Trust members or Historic Houses or lovers there is a wealth of properties and gardens to visit, including Charlecote Park, Coughton Court, Hidcote Manor Gardens and Ragley Hall which has a fabulous massive outdoor play center to mention but a few. You will have plenty to do and see in this beautiful part of the World. We hope you enjoy your stay with us

You can purchase tickets on an open top Bus which takes you not only around the sights that Stratford town has to offer but also Mary Arden's House in Wilmcote. If visiting by train, a train or regular bus can also be taken to Warwick to visit the famous Warwick Castle (the train Station is a five minute walk away).
