Interaction with guestsThe Granary is on the site of Oaks Barn Farm where Sue & Wayne live. The vast majority of the time they are on hand to meet and greet you. There is a key safe to the property, details to access the Granary if they are not on hand will be sent through to you beforehand via email. Please let the owners know your expected time of arrival. Guests can be as on hands as they would like, there are always plenty of jobs to do on the farm however during the summer months when the sheep have been turned out to pasture there is less work to be done.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

A beautiful setting with lots of opportunities
We rented out all of the accommodation on offer at Oaks Barn Farm in June 2021 for a fun but relaxing hen do. The setting was absolutely perfect, with lots of countryside views and peace and quiet - it felt like we had a piece of the countryside to ourselves. All of the accommodation is clean, modern and spacious. It's perfect for families or for booking as one large group. It gives the flexibility to cater for a large group, but the privacy for splitting into smaller groups when needed, as you can be split across three buildings. Wayne and Sue were very helpful in creating the perfect weekend and helped us to move our booking even during the uncertainties of Covid 19. I would definitely return, either with my family or as a group of friends once again.

Fabulous Time
Finally got away for a weekend with friends and we decided to make a return visit to Oaks Barn Farm. Set in beautiful countryside it has everything on site we could need for a great stay. A new addition this time is the Pizza Experience - make your own in the handmade wood oven, everything provided, homemade and delicious! The hot tub was a hit (again). Pretty sure this place will be our go-to for quite some time. Thanks Wayne and Sue for your excellent hosting.

A comfortable and convenient base for a varied walking and sightseeing holiday
We had a very happy week in the Granary. and were made very welcome by the hosts. We were looking for a centre for a walking holiday and found the Alcester area with the help of the Ordnance Survey book of 'Outstanding Circular Walks in the Malverns to Warwickshire'. The six walks we picked from the book were well planned, varied and scenic. It was a bonus that most of them, for a while, ran alongside waterways that we had previously explored on canal holidays. Furthermore most of the walks were also linked to a National Trust or English Heritage property that we could enjoy during or after the walking.

Fabulous stay with amazing hosts
We had a wonderful time at Oaks Barn Farm. We stayed in The Granary which was spotlessly clean, well stocked and extremely comfortable for our week long stay. The information that we received prior to our visit as well as the measures implemented at the properties made it feel very ‘COVID safe’. Wayne and Sue are amazing hosts and were always contactable if we needed anything. The highlight of staying at Oaks Barn Farm was the the working farm. Our 2.5 year old daughter loved petting and feeding the sheep every day and she also was able to pick eggs for our breakfast one day all with Wayne and Sue’s help. They also put a toy ride on tractor in the cottage garden for the children to play on. The hot tub was lovey for chilling out and Wayne kept it maintained and full of water all week. The cottages are well placed for Stratford on Avon and Warwick castle which are both worth a visit. All in all a fabulous week was had by all and our daughter has not stopped talking about the lambs since we left! We would love to return sometime soon.

Mr
We are a family of 5 and wanted a quiet private open space to stay easily accessible to the Cotswolds and Malvern hills post lockdown. This ticked all our boxes. The Granary is spacious and has everything you need to cook etc. It is spotless and very comfortable. It is on a working farm but at no time are you disturbed by this Particularly enjoyable was the Hot Tub in any weather! looking out onto beautiful green fields. The outdoor seating area was lovely and in the evenings lighting the Kandi fire was a highlight. Communication with Sue prior to arriving was good and Wayne throughout was welcoming and around if we needed anything. Would highly recommend

Superb location and hospitality
6 of us + a 3 month old stayed for a week and loved it. Sue and Wayne could not be faulted as hosts including a home made cake on arrival that did not last very long. The location is peaceful, surrounded by fields of Oats. There are sheep grazing in a nearby field and free chickens producing lovely yellow yolked eggs. I was taking part in an International shooting competition and Wayne took the time to set me up some targets in a safe area to help me practice. Large kitchen with fridge, freezer, granite worktops and solid wood kitchen units. There is no dishwasher and no washing machine but you can have a service wash done for you on request. The whole farm is very environmentally friendly and this can be seen throughout. Highly recommended and I would not hesitate to stay again.

Many thanks Julia for your fab review. We are so glad you enjoyed our Salt water hot tub and realised the invaluable benefits of this against a chlorinated tub. People often say that they don't manage to visit all that the area has to offer, as you have rightly said there is just so much to do. So who's birthday is it next? Many thanks for your booking try booking direct next time which will save you £. Best wishes Sue

The Granery
We booked the Granery for a girls weekend to celebrate a big birthday for one of our party. We chose the Granery as we could have the use of the hot tub for our stay. From start to finish the whole process was easy and stress free. The settling was beautiful and so peaceful. We had a warm welcome from Wayne, Sue and Jimmy the dog. The Granery has everything we needed and was clean comfortable and well presented. We all had a fabulous time left feeling we didn’t want to go home. Thank you Sue and Wayne for making us feel so welcome and making our stay such a heat and relaxing one.

Top notch, high quality, very relaxing stay.
We rarely bother to review any product or holiday but feel we had to note a few words of praise after our recent stay at The Granary at Oaks Barn Farm. The house itself is fantastic - spacious, clean, good quality furnishings with everything to hand. I can also strongly recommend use of the hot tub - which I tested extensively throughout our stay! The farm itself was a pleasure to be around too. The children (aged 6 and 2) loved feeding sheep and collecting eggs as well as getting mini tractor rides and playing on the swings and slide right by the side of the house. The location is great also - just a few miles from Alcester where there is a Waitrose for grocery shopping and plenty of good pubs for food if you're feeling a tad too lazy to cook! There's plenty to do within a 10 mile radius - Stratford, Evesham, Ragley Hall and Coughton Court - even more so within a 20 mile radius - with The Cotswolds being so close to hand too - and so The Granary was a great base from which to explore. Highest praise has to go to our hosts Wayne and Sue who were very welcoming initially and immediately sorted out a minor issue we came across. Advice was provided regards the best local take outs and supermarket home delivery and they were happy to chat to us and the children whenever we met during the course of our stay. Engaging, friendly and keen to help wherever they could - what more could you hope for? In looking for a "relaxing place to get away from it all" that allowed us to do what we wanted, when we wanted to do it - Oaks Barn Farm certainly ticked all our boxes and fulfilled all our needs and expectations. Perhaps my 6 year old daughter summed it up best through her tears on our last day..."Daddy, why can't we stay for four weeks instead of just one?" Thanks Wayne and Sue, we hope to return soon. A great place to relax
Visited the granary over the bank holiday weekend with fiancé and 4 friends, and it was all we could have asked for. The cottage is clean and tidy and well provisioned, Wayne and Sue are friendly and helpful but happy to give you your space and privacy, and the local area is beautiful with easy access to Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick for some touristy exploring. Even if the weather isn't up to scratch, relaxing indoors with boardgames and friends and family is the ideal way to escape from the world for a while. We only regret not booking longer than a 3 night trip. 3 tips- invest in the hot tub, make friends with Jimmy the dog, and visit the sheep. You'll have a great time.
