Well behaved dogs are allowed for a fee of £26 per week but they are not allowed to be left at the property unattended. As you will see from the floor plan the terrace and toilet are on the ground floor with steps up to the the living/sleeping areas which are all arranged over the first floor. The kitchen is full of traditional character and there is a Rayburn to cook on which also keeps the house warm throughout the day in the cooler months. Over the summer this oven is switched off but there is a small oven/grill and there is a 5 ring hob also in the kitchen. Please be aware that it is your choice whether to have the Rayburn on or not but it isn't the sort of cooker that can be turned on for each meal as it takes about 4 hours to reach full heat. The kitchen table comfortably seats 6 guests. There is a beautiful double aspect living room with fireplace and two large sofas. Bedroom one has a double bed and en suite bathroom, bedroom 2 is a double and there are 2 single beds in bedroom 3. There is a large family bathroom. Please be aware that the water pressure in Arundel is not good so the shower is a little weak. More

About the neighbourhood
There is so much to do in Arundel town itself that you will find that you don’t need a car unless you want to sightsee further afield. There is the majestic Arundel Castle to be explored as well as Arundel Cathedral, the museum, Arundel Lido, mini golf, tennis, bowls and river trips all within a 5 minute walk of Challenge Cottage. For those who enjoy shopping there are wonderful antique shops all over town and gift shops in both the High Street and Tarrant Street. There are an abundance of cafes and restaurants all within a few minutes’ walk and a fabulous deli and butcher just around the corner as well as a general provisions’ store a few doors down from the cottage.
Getting around
If you walk past the Castle down a leafy promenade you will reach Swanbourne Lake where you can hire a rowing boat, feed the ducks and swans or stroll all around the lake. Wildlife enthusiasts will also enjoy The Wetlands Centre a little further on to see a multitude of bird wildlife in their natural habitat or you can walk up through Arundel Park to enjoy the magnificent countryside and views over the South Downs.
