The living/kitchen/bathroom areas in the house are shared with myself and some days my adult daughter will be staying at the house as well.
There are front and rear gardens (with shed for bicycle storage) so you can sit outside for breakfast or dinner if the weather is good. If you bring a car, you can park in the street (it's free) or on my drive way.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Best place to stay in Leeds
I am an actor that travels a lot for work and I must say, Angela is the most hospitable and lovely host I have encountered. She made my month long stay with her feel like a home from home. Everything was always clean and tidy, the room is beautiful and cosy, with plenty of space. The whole process was smooth as Angela was great at communicating. I would highly recommend it for all that I have mentioned and also because Angela is such a delightful person who overflows with kindness. Thank you so very much Angela!

Highly recommend
I recently spent one night at Angela’s accommodation as I was held an event at the nearby Mustard Pot so it was super convenient for me as it was only a 10 minute walk away. Angela was friendly and attentive, and provided all the local details I needed. The room was comfortable, beautifully decorated and had all what I needed. Highly recommend

A comfortable room in a smallish but very clean, tidy, and friendly house
Angela's house is a little way out of the centre of Leeds. We arrived by bus, but never needed to use it again; there is a very good off-road walking path to Leeds centre, which takes less than 1/2 hour to walk.
The room is very comfortable, and the house was very clean. We had free use of the kitchen, and of the washing machine.
Angela was a very good hostess.

Welcoming friendly place to stay in Leeds suburb. Comfortable bed in quiet location.

Do NOT stay here
Do NOT stay at this house. Staying here was the worst experience I’ve ever had and still haunts me to this day.
Staying at this house seemed lovely in the beginning but quickly things started changing. So maybe staying here for a day or 3 might be a good experience. For a longer stay I do not recommend whatsoever.
During my stay the house owner was controlling and watching watching me every move. Since there is no lock on your room door, she enters the room when you’re not in the house. One night she even locked me out of the house, because she thought I was home too late.
I left this place earlier than I anticipated, because I have never felt this unsafe and unwelcome in a house I was staying at. I do not recommend.

Hello Chandenie,
As you know, I am genuinely sad that in the end your stay with me did not turn out as expected. I wish you would have raised matters with me at the time, rather than posting this review 1 1/2 years later. You do not mention the good-natured conversations we had, that you invited me to your dance performance, etc. for many weeks of your stay. I respect your right to your opinion and how you feel. It is however unfair to state I locked you out of the house, as this is untrue and never happened. I still wish you well. AS

Great place!
The house is great! Beautiful decoration, I really felt at home there. The room is light and cozy, and Angela is a great host. She gives you space but is always ready for nice talks.
The bus stop is less than 10 minutes walk from the house. I would love to stay there again!

Thanks P. It was lovely having you stay with me and learn a bit about Brasil. Wish you all the best and if you're ever near Leeds in the future, get in touch so we can share some coffee and cake! Angela

Lovely home
Since I arrived Angela told me everything about the home rules (that really works), showed me the whole house and allowed me to cook, to stay wherever I wanted. The house is always clean, organize, warm and extremely comfortable. She treated me such as if I were part of her family.
The house is well located, 10 mins walking by the bus station (10 min by bus to city centre) and the neighborhood is safe.
If I could I would stay here again.

Lovely & comfortable stay.
Angela is an amazing host. You have a whole room all to yourself, the bed is huge and extremely comfy. I totally recommend for a cosy and a friendly stay. Also there are buses nearby and the neighbourhood is beautiful and peaceful.

About the neighbourhood
The house in a quiet cul-de-sac, close to bus routes and shops/restaurants/bars (5-10 minutes' walk to the nearest bus stop and shops). The area is part of the urban village of CHAPEL ALLERTON which was voted one of the 10 best places to live in England in 2013. It's leafy with lots of old and modern buildings, its own little village centre with plenty of pubs and bars, independent shops, festivals and a vibrant art scene.
A 10-minute bus ride takes you into Leeds city centre and a 15-minute walk gets you to the centre of Chapel Allerton. The closest shop for groceries are Lidl or Tesco express, but you also have a Coop, Aldi and a range of local independent shops (incl. butcher, green grocer, cheese monger, various bakeries) close by.
Getting around
There are plenty of bus routes from close to the house. The nearest bus stop is 5-10 minutes' walk away and you can get a bus into the city centre every 10 minutes. You can also get a direct bus to the famous Headingley Yorkshire County Cricket Club (No 91), or catch the No 36 bus to Harewood House, Harrogate or further to Ripon in the Yorkshire Dales.
It's a 10-15 minute bus ride into the city centre and from there you can take trains or buses to other destinations in Yorkshire, the Yorkshire Dales, as well as Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Newcastle or travel on to Scotland. There are direct trains to London, too.

How to get there
If you are arriving by train or bus via Leeds city centre, you can take a no. 2, 3 or 3A bus from VICAR LANE in the city centre and ask the driver to get off at CHAPEL ALLERTON HOSPITAL. As you get off the bus, turn back in the direction the bus came from, take the first road on your right (St. Martins Avenue), then at the fork immediately after, take the left (St. Martins Avenue still) and head all the way up the hill. At the top, turn left into St. Martins Gardens. (8 minute walk)
Alternatively, take a no. 7 bus, also from VICAR LANE, and ask to get off at SCOTT HALL PLAYING FIELDS. As you get off the bus, cross the main road at the pedestrian crossing and enter straight where the road is blocked with bollards so cars can not go through (Scott Hall Grove). Follow the road round as it bends to the right, then take the second left into Scott Hall Terrace, then the second right into St. Martins Gardens. (8 minute walk)
Imagine the street like a lollipop, a straight bit, and a circle. I am in the circle and as you head down the straight bit, where the road forks, take the right and then look for a BLUE AND WHITE FENCE on the left hand side of the road. The numbers are a bit all over the place in the street, so the fence is your best indication!
