Holiday Rental House
The Hayloft is one of only two self-catering holiday cottages at Tanyresgair Cottages, in a recent barn conversion - set in a stunning location in mid-Wales. On our 14 acre smallholding, Tanyresgair, right in the middle of Ceredigion – between the Cardigan Bay coast to the west and the Cambrian Mountains to the east; and between Aberystwyth to the north and Lampeter to the south. The one bedroom cottage has retained the charm and character of the original stone barn, with exposed beams, stone walls, wooden and slate floors. Its an ideal choice for the discerning couple with a wide range of interests, who want peace & quiet at their accommodation but with lots of things to do within easy reach. This cosy cottage has a large lounge/diner with an open-plan kitchen and a shower-room on the ground floor, and a large bedroom with a king-sized bed upstairs on a mezzanine floor – in the old hayloft. Lie in bed and watch the view of sheep grazing on the hill just outside. It has a modern fitted kitchen with electric stove and large fridge, oil-fired central heating, flat-screen TV, free wi-fi and a king-sized bed with hotel quality bed linen & towels. There are reclaimed wooden floors in the living & bedroom areas and slate floors in the kitchens and shower rooms. The exposed stone walls have been retained wherever possible to give an authentic welsh cottage ambience, and the original old barn doors have been recycled to make mirror frames, window sills, coat hooks and lintels. The furniture includes a comfortable leather lounge suite, pine dining table & chairs, an oak desk and pine bedroom furniture (wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables). And there is still plenty of space for you to spread out and make yourselves at home. Outside enjoy a private SE-facing patio with garden furniture for enjoying the view, plenty of parking, a bike shed and bike washing facilities. ALSO check out our other cottage at the same location - The Stables, which has a totally different layout but the same high quality. The two cottages would be ideal for two couples travelling together. NOTE: We take bookings for a minimum of 3 nights from Mar-Nov, except Jul-Aug when the minimum is 4 nights. We are closed from Dec-Feb. More
