Completing the ground floor is the first bedroom, with queen size bed and en-suite bathroom. There is also access to a cloakroom. Continue upstairs to find the remaining four-bedrooms, two king-size and two double size, each with their own en-suite shower room, hairdryers, and fans. Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

This house has everything you could want for a great holiday.
After many years of hiring holiday accommodation with a group of friends, Y Gorlan is easily the best equipped house we have stayed in. From glasses to cutlery and Sky TV, Annette and Peter have thought of everything and have provided the most comprehensive amount of information we have come across. Set on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and within a short drive to the delightful town of Conwy with its magnificent castle, there are so many places to visit it's impossible to cram everything into a week. Lovely walks, excellent birding at Conwy and South Stack on Anglesey, more castles at Beaumaris and Penrhyn and the superb Bodnant Garden is just a 15-minute drive away. And to top it all, there is an excellent pub, the Ty Gwynn, next door.

Perfect house and garden in lovely village
Agree with what others have said before. Such a well equipped comfy house and all the extra touches made such a difference. Great location and so much to do near by. We also experienced the village carnival which as an added bonus!

Excellent
Thoroughly recommended. We were 7 adults, two kids, two teenagers and a dog. The house was immaculate with plenty of space, there was some food provided just in case to see us through the first few hours. Lovely garden, right next to the pub and great walks.Plenty of books, videos provided.

Excellent stay at Y Gorlan
Stayed at this wonderful self catering accommodation recently, and had a brilliant time. Set in a lovely Welsh village the quality of the house was superb, comfortable and warm (log burner was great). Nice pub right next door which does great good and obviously no driving required! Ideal location for sightseeing and walking and a big garden for the kids to play in as well. Wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

House and location superb
This holiday house is perfectly suited for comfort and home from home conveniences. It has been thoughtfully set up with all ages and groups in mind. The location is quiet and peacefulwith lovely walks but near for short car journeys to the local attractions of North Wales. The village pub is a very very short walk from the house with good beer, lovely food reasonably priced and friendly customers and staff . The advice given on the website recommending an online grocery shop and delivery was thoughtful and invaluable. I would definitely recommend this house and the location.

How to get there
Coming from the M6 / M56 / A55. If your sat nav asks you to leave the A55 at junction 19 please ignore it and come off at junction 18, otherwise it will take you the long way around and the road gets very narrow in places, with limited passing places. At junction 18 please follow the signs for Conwy (your sat nav should reroute) and at the mini roundabout adjacent to Conwy castle turn left and go under the archway in the castle walls (B5106). Carry on for 2 miles until you get to the Groes Inn and turn right. Y Gorlan is 2 miles down this road in the centre of Rowen, look for the white iron gates and stone pillars just after the Ty Gwyn pub.
