Royal oak cottage is right on the sea front of the Conwy estuary and is built against the 13th century castle walls of old Conwy town. In fact, the castle walls form the rear wall of the enclosed patio area. During 2011, the cottage underwent extensive restoration and renovation and became available for holiday lets in 2012. The cottage is of historic significance and has been owned and associated with some quite famous people of the past. Find out who and when in the visitors book when you arrive for your special break. The famous Liverpool Arms pub is 50mtrs away, Conwy town is literally 3 minutes walk with lots of traditional shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. The cottage will already be prepared before your arrival. You will receive an in depth email before you arrive with details for the key safe at the property. This process is super easy, you will not need to be met by ourselves or Dawn our cleaner. For any unforeseen issues when you arrive, Dawn lives just 7 miles away and can assist. In the unlikely even of a bigger issue, we (the owners) are 60 miles away and will arrange help. We also have various tradesman contacts in Conwy that can deal with immediate issues. Specific contact details will be given in the details email after booking.

This house is ideally situated for a great family holiday in North Wales. It is right on the Conway quayside with breathtaking views from every window. It is spotlessly clean and very well equipped - even a water bowl for the dog and a jar of dog biscuits too! We had a great holiday and would love to return for...

I booked this cottage from Canada. We used to live in the Uk and now live in Canada and wanted somewhere large enough to host 8 or more people and a dog. This place came up on my search and wow is all i can say. The location is second to none for walking and views of the local attractions....

The location of the cottage was excellent once you park up you do not need car.every thing is few minutes walk shops,pubs n places to eat out.the cottage itself was clean and had everything we needed for stay.

Examples are the almost intact enormous Conwy Castle, Plas Mawr, Snowdon, Town Walls, Smallest House in Britain, Thomas Telford suspension bridge, Conwy Marina, Conwy Quay, Conwy Beach, Conwy Mountain, Surf Snowdonia, Bonlondeb Nature Reserve and literally hundreds more leisure, food, historic, natural and adrenalin fueled attractions all within easy reach.
Getting around
Conwy railway station is 400 metres away and this can take you all the way along the coast to Anglesey in one direction along and Chester and beyond in the other direction. Llandudno Junction railway station is 1 mile away and can take you to Blaenau Ffestiniog where you can catch the steam train to Port Meirion and on to Mid Wales from there. Regular buses run from Conwy to places all over North Wales. A tourist open top bus runs to Llandudno. Conwy has a local taxi service and the A55 main road for cars is approximately 1 mile away.
