A week was not long enough to enjoy all this cottage had to offer: thoughtfully furnished with so many homely touches, pretty little conservatory and garden in a little village with easy access to the coast and mountains. We loved every day we spent there.

If you cannot choose between coast or mountains, this accomodation is the perfect choice as both are really handy. Lovely thought out interior with beautiful photography on the walls. All essential needs met by the hostess with the lovely surprise of flowers and wine as a bonus treat. Thank you Jane and Laurence, we enjoyed our time in your place.

lovely, cosy cottage with mountain views
The cottage was really warm and welcoming so didn't feel like a rental so much as a cared for home. It was really clean and the bed sheets were so soft that I didn't want to get up in the morning.The owners are lovely.
The location is ideal- in a small village/large hamlet with a welcoming pub, and every window has an amazing view of a river, valley or mountain.
There are loads of lovely places to visit nearby- we especially loved Bodnant Gardens (National Trust).
If we want to come back to the area, we will definitely stay here.

Delightful
First impressions told us we were going to be happy here for our 4 night break and indeed we were.
The cottage is absolutely delightful, the owners have thought of everything to make your stay relaxing and is spotlessly clean, including a welcome basket of goodies.
The area is great for walks right from the cottage. We enjoyed a really nice , reasonably priced meal at the local Austrian restaurant, a bonus being it is in walking distance.
All in all first class.

Hello, it appears we didn't respond to your lovely review. Sorry this is so late but we just wanted to say that we really appreciated your feedback and so glad you enjoyed your stay. I'm afraid the owners of the Austrian Restaurant have recently retired and it is no longer run as a restaurant. The Fairy Glen is a still good local choice for food however, and there is a new restaurant opening in the village later this year, all being well. Perfect little getaway!
The cottage was amazing and the owners were very friendly and made me and my family feel very welcome. The location on the cottage is picturesque and perfect.

Great Location
Wern Cottage was a great place located in a peaceful corner of the north Welsh region, yet so close to all the attractions of the area. The cottage has a full-sized kitchen with a washer/dryer as well as a dishwashing machine. A good selection of DVDs to watch if one was not interested in what was available on television that night. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the items necessary if one didn't want to eat out. The village had a quaint pub offering good food and the Austrian restaurant was the real deal. Highly recommended. Loved the place!

Lovely cottage in a great location
We spent a very enjoyable week in this lovely cottage. The property is very comfortable, freshly decorated and very well equipped with great attention to detail. The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival. We welcomed personally by the friendly owners, Jane and Laurence, who also left a welcome pack.
Wern Cottage is on the edge of a small village in a very scenic location and combines the best of both worlds . The location feels peaceful and rural with excellent walks starting right on the doorstep. The garden is lovely and private and we enjoyed the wonderful variety of birds attracted by the feeders.
There is an excellent pub and a restaurant within easy walking distance. The lovely town of Conwy with its castle and medieval walls is only a couple of minutes by car. Slightly further afield, the numerous attractions of Snowdonia National Park are within easy reach.
Overall, this is an outstanding rental property.

Lovely cottage in excellent location
The property had everything, definitely one of the best self catering properties I have ever stayed in. Ideally placed for beach or hills. Very quiet only noise was the river!

perfect cottage for your holiday in North Wales
We stayed 8 days in Wern Cottage. A perfect, well equipped cottage with all you can wish for. We had a warm welcome with fresh flowers and a basket with whine, water, cookies and chocolate. So much to see in the area: Llandudno with the Great Orme, Cony, Bangor and Betws y coed. Jane and Laurence are great hosts. Thank you. Hope to come back!!!

Wern Cottage is a detached property located in the friendly village of Capelulo at the end of the Sychnant Pass, the northernmost pass in the Snowdonia National Park (one of Conwy's best kept secrets!). Superb walks can be enjoyed straight from your doorstep allowing easy access to some of the most stunning scenery in the whole of Wales. A 30 minute scenic drive will take you right to the foot of Snowdon in Llanberis. Wern Cottage is ideally placed for visiting towns such as historic Conwy, just 3 miles away, with its lovely marina and 13th century Castle ( a World Heritage Site). The elegant resort of Llandudno with its stunning location and host of attractions and restaurants is also close by.
Getting around
There are some lovely walks onto the surounding hills, straight from the doorstep. Local shops, restaurants and the village pub (The Fairy Glen) are also all withing walking distance. A bus route does go through the village (No. 75) but to fully explore what the area has to offer further afield we recommend a car.
