Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Serene views, peaceful place!
Four nights in this very homely space, thoughtful hosting, all amenities clearly labelled and easy to use. Great base for walks, plenty to do within 15mins vicinity. Loved by kids, town close enough for a stop off/stock up en route. Atmospheric!

Beautiful, well equipped accommodation
The accommodation is in a peaceful area but within easy distance to plenty of attractions and places to visit. It is only a 15 min drive to the lovely town Llangollen with a good amount of shops and restaurants. The house is really lovely and very spacious for a family of four. It is very well equipped with everything you could need with lots of little extras like books, dvd's, children's toys and a lovely little welcome pack. The outdoor areas were my favourite and we were lucky to get a few nice sunny days where we could sit outside and enjoy the fabulous view while the children enjoyed the garden areas and playing on the zip wire (I quite enjoyed having a little go myself). We had a few good days out visiting Zip World, Llangollen, Llandegla Laser Combat (only 5mins drive) and horse riding in Cheshire but it was lovely to come 'home' to Plas yn ial at the end of the day. Huw and Bethan are lovely hosts and we would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting North Wales. Thank you for a lovely stay and we hope to come back soon

A great place to stay for kids and adults
What makes Plas yn ial so special is the care and thoughtfulness of the owners - they have thought of everything. It is beautifully presented, everything is good quality and appropriate, there is wifi, Netflix, lots of books, and lots of information about walks and places to go. Oh, and the bed is super comfy! The biggest plus for us was the lovely outdoor space, with the garden house and patio for sitting out and a fab zip wire and swinging ropes for the kids. We were staying for a family occasion, and the owners were very tolerant of lots of family members coming and going in the grounds. A lovely experience.

About the neighbourhood
Llangollen is a truly amazing town, encapsulating the best North Wales has to offer in a small area.Llangollen has many natural wonders. There are mountains, white water rivers including the spectacular River Dee canals with horse-drawn boats, The Llangollen Steam Railway with steam trains that chug along the Dee Valley, the Horseshoe Pass, the Horseshoe Falls and all in easy reach of Chester and Wrexham. Famous structures, gardens and historic buildings abound, Plas Newydd, home to The Ladies of Llangollen, numerous National Trust properties surround the town and we have the highest and longest aqueduct on the canal system. The Pontcysyllte aqueduct was built by Thomas Telford 200 years ago, over a 1000 feet long and standing 126 feet above the river Dee which is now a world Heritage Site . You can cross it by narrow boats which depart from The Wharf in Llangollen for a 3-hour return trip and marvel at the engineering which took the canal beginning at the Horseshoe Falls close to The Chainbridge Hotel all the way to join the national canal system. You can also take a horse-drawn boat from The Wharf up to near its source. Both trips are a cheap and very enjoyable way of seeing the spectacular countryside Supermarkets - closest, the biggest, and the easiest to find: Largest: Sainsbury’s Wrexham (11 miles) – Directions (Fairly straight forward) Postcode – LL11 2BA (Follow signs for Wrexham).
