The cottage is suitable for 4 adults, apart from an additional £15.00 if you bring your pet, there are no extras when booking. We will meet you when you arrive and show you in, introduce you to your holiday cottage, explain how things work and answer any questions. Then we will be available as much as you want. We have lived here since May 2000 and so know the area quite well, we are equally happy to leave you alone to get on and do your own thing.

Lovely cottages situated in beautiful surroundings with outstanding views. Terraces and garden for outdoor entertaining. We were a party of 8 and took both cottages. The cottages are cosy and individual and the owners very helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

The setting is ideal. Far away enough to be a peaceful retreat but close enough to visit all the local attractions. Visited Chester twice which is only 35 minutes in the car. The Llangollen Railway literally runs past the bottom of the field next to...More

The cottage has full central heating throughout, plus an open fireplace in which to have a real log fire.

The two bedrooms provide ample space for up to four adults. The fitted kitchen/dining room has everything you need, including an integrated electric oven and hob, a full size dishwasher, (we don't believe anyone should have to wash up on holiday) a washing machine, and a fridge. There's a microwave for those quick snacks. We provide all pots, pans, crockery, and bed linen.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, looking out over the rolling countryside down to the Llangollen Steam railway, or watching the sun rise at the end of the valley.

About the neighbourhood
Our nearest town is Llangollen. Llangollen is a small town and community in Denbighshire, north-east Wales, situated on the River Dee and on the edge of the Berwyn mountains. It has a population of 3,412.

Llangollen takes its name from Saint Collen (from the Welsh llan meaning 'fortified church yard' and gollen meaning Collen), a 6th century monk who founded a church beside the river there.[2] St Collen is said to have arrived in Llangollen by coracle. As there are no other churches in Wales dedicated to St. Collen, it is possible that this St. Collen may also have connections in both Colan, Cornwall and Langolen, Brittany.

Directions from our nearest town Llangollen:

From Llangollen take the A5 towards Corwen travelling west into Wales. Stay on the A5 past the canoe centre, further along you will pass the Berwyn steam railway station, and then a turning to Vivod on the left. Just beyond the turning the valley will start to open out on the right. Stay with the A5 and you will come to a sweeping right hand corner with a row of wooden posts on your left with red and white reflectors on them, you will then pass the Toll Gate lay-by snack bar - again on your left. Keep an eye open for our sign at the end of this lay-by. We are 200 yards past the sign, on the right down a bridle way. Turn right off the A5 down the bridle way, we are the white house at the end.
