Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place: peaceful accomoodation and perfect location for getting around Snowdonia
We based ourselves in Y Neuadd for a bit of peace and quiet but with great facilities and access, literally from the doorstep. The house and gardens are perfect for couples or small family - really well thought out and decorated. The village itself offers great walks or bike rides in just about any direction and to any level or gradient. Also it is so convenient having the Spar shop close by for emergency supplies, as well as a few places to eat along the road. Highly recommended!

Wonderful!
This is one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. It was spotlessly clean. Beautiful location with the most amazing walks right from the doorstep. We enjoyed the fire in the lounge and in the garden. Just a short drive to many places. 100% will recommend to family and friends. We never normally stay in the same property for a second time because we like to explore different places, but I would come back here again in a heartbeat. THANK YOU!

Great stay
This was a beautiful cottage in a stunning location. We don’t usually stay in the same place twice but all agreed we’d happily stay here again. Highlights were the log burner (which we used every evening) and comfy beds and the cottage had everything we needed. Location was great and we didn’t need to venture far from the local area all holiday. Thank you.

For seasons in 3 days!
A beautifully located cottage, spotlessly clean, a warming log fire burning away when we arrived and comfortable throughout. Be prepared for the weather if you go in Feb but it did not stop us enjoying Hangin' Pizza, Harlech and Conwy Castle. All easy to get to. The garden looks great but we couldn't use it because of the weather. I can only imagine in summer with the fire pit going and those views that it would be great.

Lovely cottage!
Booking this cottage was easy - the owner responded promptly to all my enquiries both during the booking process & in the run up to our stay. We stayed as a group of 4 adults for a weekend in mid September. It’s a beautiful little cottage that is clean & immaculately presented. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us & having 2 en suites was lovely. The beds and couches are comfy so good for relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped although some sharp knives would have been appreciated and the oven took awhile to cook our food but in my experience these are problems common to most holiday rentals!!! There’s garden furniture & a fire pit in the small private garden if you’re lucky enough to get some nice weather and if not there’s a log burning fire to cosy up to in the lounge. There’s a Spar a stone’s throw away for essentials. Betws-y-coed is just a 10 minute drive away down the valley with shops, pubs, restaurants etc. There are tonnes of activities to get involved in in the local area.

Really pleased you all enjoyed your weekend in our cottage and that you found it clean and immaculately presented. I guess you must have missed the sharp knives in the block next to the bread bin and some people can find an electric oven cooks different if they are used to gas, sadly our village isn't linked to mains gas therefore electric is our only option.

A perfect getaway from city life!
We had such an amazing stay at Helen’s cottage. The cottage is definitely worth it and anyone looking to visit North Wales should stay here. This was a surprise trip booked by my partner and Helen was so accommodating at such short notice. This was my first time in Wales and the cottage was a perfect way to experience the small town tranquility and overall beauty of Wales. The surrounding areas are filled with beautiful landscapes and it’s not a long walk to Dolwyddelan Castle at all. Helen leaves you to the enjoy the cottage but she is available if you need her. I am very picky and the cottage was up to par! It is a very clean and well looked after place but most importantly it has heart. The towns people are friendly and warm so don’t be shy to say hello or smile. We will definitely be back here for a weekend to Snowdonia.

Mr
A really lovely cottage to stay. Myself and my family stayed for a few nights on a short break. We were welcomed by a lovely warm and cosy cottage with several treats, giving a real personal touch. The cottage was very spacious with everything you could ever need, a real home from home... Helen the owner was lovely and did everything she could possibly do to make our stay very comfortable and the best it could be. We will definitely be going back one day and I highly recommend.. !

Beautiful cottage in a great location
We had a lovely stay in Helen's cottage. Beautiful location and within easy reach of Snowdon and also the coast. The cottage was beautiful, with a lovely open fire (with the best logs!) which was a welcome treat after a days walking. The rooms were lovely and all very clean. Thanks for the treats which were a lovely surprise when we arrived. We would highly recommend this lovely cottage.

Weekend in Wales
We had a really relaxing weekend at the cottage. Helen was great with communication before we arrived. It’s plenty big enough for 4 adults and the log burner was a real bonus. We used the cottage as a base to visit Beddgelert, Betws-y-coed, Portmeirion and Caernarfon to name a few. Beds were comfy we all slept well though that might have been down to the wine! Thanks for a great stay.
