Built in the mid 1800's, Llannerch has been converted to a snug open-plan haven for a single person or a couple. It offers warm and comfortable accommodation all year round in the attractive, sleepy village of Penmachno and makes a great base from which to explore the hill and forest walks in the surrounding area or indeed the whole of Snowdonia.

The cottage sleeps up to 2 in one double bedroom with TV and en-suite shower, basin and WC, with door to balcony with table, chairs and views to Penmachno hills and Gwydir Forest.
There is an open plan living area with modern kitchen with breakfast bar, electric cooker, microwave, fridge. The sitting area has a wood-burning stove in large stone fireplace, a flat screen TV with FreeSat, DVD Player and CD Player. The cottage is heated by storage heaters.

Linda was amazingly helpful, on top of this the cottage was then literally perfect! Also you can sneak The Eagles WIFI on the rear decking. We’re coming back! (Feather sticks beat fire lighters every day 😉)

Llannerch is a sweet cottage perfect for a couple. It is well fitted out with all that we needed although no wifi. Penmachno is a quiet village in beautiful countryside, ideally suited for walking and exploring to ones hearts content.

We stayed here for a week and found the location excellent for everything we wanted to do in the area. Plenty of walking and history sights locally. The rural village of Penmachno lies in the beautiful Machno valley, surrounded by stunning countryside; set within Snowdonia National Park and approximately 4 miles from the renowned tourist resort of Betws-y-Coed, North Wales.

For mountain bikers, the world-class Penmachno trail starts half a mile from Llannerch; the Marin Trail, Antur Stiniog, Llandegla and Coed-y-Brenin are easily accessible.

For canoeists, the Conwy, Llugwy,Lledr and Ogwen are a short drive away.

For walkers and climbers, Snowdon, the Carneddau, the Glyders, in fact, all of the Welsh 3000ft peaks are within 15 miles.

The cottage sits on the edge of the village and is surrounded by the Gwydyr forest with endless forest walks and horse-riding stables nearby. The beautiful Conwy Falls lies 2 miles away.

Getting to us by Road

From A5, two miles east of Betws-y-coed, at Conwy Falls Cafe, turn onto B4406 towards Penmachno. Follow road through village (approx. 2 miles) , cross bridge, The Eagles is in front of you. Llannerch is the second cottage in road to the right of The Eagles.
Getting to us by Public Transport

Betws-y-coed Station 4 miles. Bus 64 from Betws-y-coed to Penmachno
(Please note: buses do not run on Sundays or Bank Holidays).

From Ireland or London, or stations between London and Holyhead, change at Llandudno Junction for Betws-y-coed.
