Crashpad Lodge is a unique off-grid accommodation situated in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park making it a perfect base for your getaway in North Wales. The original Welsh name for the lodge is Yr Helfa. Located on the wild slopes of Snowdon you are close to the amenities of Llanberis yet still very much in a mountain environment and is located a 10 minute walk from the Llanberis Path which is the start of the ascent up Snowdon. The traditional farmhouse has been carefully restored to its former state and will sleep up to 18 guests in three bedrooms comfortably. Most of the interior items such as the soft and hard furnishings have been hand made by the owner and friends. The mountainous location of the bunkhouse means that it is completely off gird and self sustained. This was the perfect location to bring a group of students to Snowdon. Not only does the house have everything you would need, but is really well done. The fire pit and BBQ outside makes it perfect for enjoying a few beers after climbing Snowdon....More
