Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.

This was a fantastic choice, for so many reasons--just book it now!"
We loved staying in the guest house with Jane and John. They were warm, welcoming and super friendly to a family of four they'd never met. Jane helped us with a tremendous hot tasty meal (after our long day of driving around), and the house was spacious, comfortable and with good wifi. The farm-fresh eggs for breakfast were a true treat. The vegetable gardens at the property are magnificent to walk around and see, and the donkey is as friendly as advertised. We loved staying here and will tell EVERYONE to find their place when traveling through Ireland moving forward.

PJ and his family were absolutely delightful guests - they were like old/young friends! They so enjoyed the peace and quiet of this location and the animals we have around. I do hope they will return and stay longer.

This rural idyll is geographically well placed to visit the many attractions that the Province offers
The hosts have cleverly created a perfect ambience in this cosy attachment to a magnificent country house. The property is well presented, being tastefully furnished and warmed by an efficient log burner. The hosts are welcoming and always helpful without being intrusive. Nestling on the edge of a very old Bramlery Apple orchard within an attractive rural area this really is a great place to unwind, relax and re-charge one's battery. The location offers: Attractive walks, in particular around the area of Ardress House; a nearby golf course at Loughall; easy access to the City of Armagh; and, for those wishing to travel further afield, a short drive to the Motorway. .

Absolutely stunning
A delightful find. Gorgeous owners who went over and above to make us feel welcome - bread, marmalade and eggs provided for breakfast along with chocolate treats. The property is on a beautiful farm with furry and feathered friends galore. Such a pleasant escape. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area. Thoroughly recommend.

Was a delight to meet Josie and her fellow band members (plus helpers/driver!) of Tequila Mockingbyrd who are on tour in Ireland. Lovely people - Rita the donkey really appreciated all the attention!

Home from home
We recently stayed here for two nights and had a lovely time. The hosts Jane and John are warm and welcoming. It was especially good to arrive to a pre-ordered casserole for dinner served on warmed plates in the comfort of our accommodation, much easier than negotiating a restaurant with a two year old. The little touches like eggs from the farm's own hens for breakfast and a few chocolate ones, as it was Easter, added to the delight. Once the children were tucked up in their beds, made easier by the dark heavy curtains blocking out the sunlight, my husband and I could light the woodburning stove and relax with the rest of the wine we had at dinner. Jane had shown us round the garden on our arrival and we were made to feel very welcome and free to roam. We all enjoyed walking through the apple orchard, following the guinea fowl and meeting Rita the donkey. Cows and sheep were visiting and my children enjoyed looking at all the animals. Not least the two friendly dogs who were happily roaming their family home. On leaving, although a short trip, it feels we are leaving new friends not just accommodation.
On coming home we were less than an hour to the ferry terminal at Belfast, which made for a relaxed journey home.
An email arrived to let us know we forgot a blanket and Jane is going to arrange to send it back. Maybe it was a subconscious effort to make sure we had to return!

A lovely family with such well behaved children who really enjoyed the freedom of the place. Pity you missed the apple blossom - it is just starting to look its best, and the smell in the evening is amazing!

Fantastic Hospitality for Cyclists
We recently stayed at Crannagael House while competing in the Tour of Ulster bike race and we can't speak highly enough of facilities or the hosts. Jane & John couldn't do enough to help us and make us feel welcome. From topping up the wood burner each day, to providing fresh produce from the grounds, to accommodating us with bike wash equipment and storage areas they did it all and more!!
Couldn't recommend the place highly enough - and to other keen cyclists it really makes a great base for cycling weekends and the like.
Thanks again Jane & John!
I've no doubt we'll be back again soon.

These guys were just brilliant and we were delighted to host them - real life top quality cyclists who acquitted themselves very well in the bike race - it was the fresh free range eggs that did the trick!! Looking forward to seeing them again.

A perfect retreat
We recently stayed to celebrate Mum's birthday, John & Jane couldn't have been more welcoming from setting the stove to providing fresh free range eggs for breakfast and even a cake for Mum! The house was a perfect retreat for us as we just needed some quiet time together. We had a bedroom each, with good access and a walk in shower on the ground floor. The kitchen cupboards were well stocked with crockery and utensils and we had everything we needed to make our experience a home from home. We will definitely visit again.

BB&B (Best Bed & Breakfast)
After having stayed with Jane and John recently we cannot recommend their welcome and hospitality highly enough. When we rounded the corner and saw the house there were shouts of "mansion" from the back of the car. It's a truley lovely looking house in a magical setting. We had a quick welcome tour of our accommodation and after getting a recommendation for dinner headed straight out. The way the place is set up we felt like we were coming back to our own holiday home and had a lovely relaxing evening. In the morning the boys went out egg hunting with Jane (real eggs from real hens) and we cooked breakfast at our leisure. Jane and John are a very welcoming couple and on leaving we were already thinking of a return visit in the future.

Charming house and gardens with wonderful hospitality
Beautiful house and gardens set in a rural location with wonderful hospitality from Jane and John (the owners) with fresh fruit and veg from the gardens. Our children were delighted to collect fresh eggs in the morning and run around the orchard when we returned from our various trips during the day. Clancy the resident dog, guinea hens, Rita the donkey and Jack the visiting dog from next door were all a big hit. During our stay we visited a number of places locally and also traveled to Armagh (20 mins) and Belfast (40 mins). The accommodation was cosy and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Full marks

The Healy family are just a delight - more like family members than visitors - and always ready with a laugh! They covered all the local attractions and really made the most of their stay with us in Co Armagh - hope there are a few things they haven't done so they have to return!
Jack, my daughter's Westie, was very sorry to see the girls leave!
The house was left in immaculate condition - many thanks.

Highly recommend - the best of Ireland
Jane is a great host, made us feel so at home, thank you! We have visited with our two kids and grandma.
The house is beautiful, so comfortable and spacious, it has a very well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. It’s surrounded by a magnificent garden - our kids loved exploring it. Jane was also happy for our girls to share her dogs and cat. And donkey. And chickens. The girls didn’t want to leave!
A family paradise in a serene, quiet setting. Huge, well kept grounds to run around, a large comfortable lounge with a roaring fire to rest in and fresh eggs and wheaten bread for breakfast. Life is good there, are we would highly recommend it for a longer visit - that’s our only regret, not enough time there! It is great as a retreat or as a family home or a romantic get away place for peace and long walks. We will be back!

Beautiful property and hosts
We had an amazing stay for 1 night in August 2017. Jane and John are wonderful hosts and could not have been more accommodating. As a lot of previous guests had said we wish we had stayed an extra night. Would highly recommend spending two nights minimum at this wonderful property. Nice and relaxing. All facilities were great and there was everything you could need such as kicthen utensils, toiletries, towels, books, CD player etc. We made friends with the two dogs Clancy and Jack. Clancy, a little less mobile, and the bouncy Jack were always ready for a pat and a walk around the property.
We will be highly recommending this place to our friends and family so they too can enjoy it as much as we did. Thank-you very much Jane and John!
